I liked the hotel, it's good and has incredible attractions. The staff are good, except for Luis, who answered the phone and my family, who was bad. And I would like to recommend the part about not taking off the bracelets, so that we can take them as souvenirs. As someone who likes to collect things like me, I was sad when I had to take them off. You could have chosen to make a line or write "used" on them, because in all the resorts I've been to and asked not to take them off, they didn't take them off. But anyway, I loved the service, but Luis ruins your review. Thanks.

We enjoyed the hotel's facilities, idling by the pool every day - bliss. The outdoor bars were great - usually well-staffed and a good choice of drinks. We enjoyed the restaurants where staff were pleasant/courteous in bringing water and wine to our table. Good choice of food at the buffets. Our room was kept very clean. There was a coffee -maker, drinks optics and mini bar which were supposed to be checked/restocked daily but we were 6 days into the holiday before anyone came to do this. (That was our only complaint) Entertainment was ok for the size of hotel. Fun, games and exercise at the pool. They often had interesting things going on too in reception in the evening before the main theatre activity started. If you like wildlife you will love it. Visits from animals and birds are pretty special.

RIU Yucatan
Me and my boyfriend booked this trip a month in advance, and were a little skeptical after reading through the reviews, but this was one of the best resorts we have been too! I know we will be back and I am more than happy with everything about the resort. The resort is not too big and perfect walking distance, the food was always amazing and I am super picky when it comes to food. The steak special restaurant was our go to and was phenomenal. The beach was so nicely kept and not much sargassum was on the beach. It was difficult to get pool chairs as everyone gets up at like 6am to put their towels down but the pool bar was our go to spot. It was always nice and the bar tenders were great. Leo and Carlos were our favorite there!! We also put to use the gym most days which has lots of equipment and is kept nice and clean. The late night snack bar was also great for the night we may have drank too much and slept through dinner. We were a little let down when the howler monkeys were not around. Overall, I loved this resort and so did my boyfriend. We will be back!!!!! Do not let the bad reviews change your mind!!!

Fabulous value for money & great Italian restaurant.
We have just stayed at this lovely hotel. The hotel was very well managed and the restaurants were particularly great for even the most picky diners. The best experience for our family was the Italian restaurant a la carte, also with a super buffet. This was managed by Pablo who in my experience was one of the best managers I’ve ever seen, a very busy restaurant but with his skill & knowledge made it a fabulous dining experience for all the family nothing was too much trouble for him. The hotel with its caring staff made us book once again due to its value and cleanliness we would definitely recommend this venue 100%.

Hotel RIU Yucatan - returning for 5th time!
Have visited 4 times, pool and beach are awesome, the beach is huge with chairs and palm trees. The pool has palapas and umbrellas (we love shade). Sargassum can be a lot but the beach more than makes up for it and we walk the beach every day and find a good swim spot. The buffet is a favourite, we don’t go hungry, however the variety can be repetitive and would love to see more authentic Mexican cuisine. Too much oil and onions used on everything. Great coffees, teas, hot chocolate! The rooms and grounds are spotless, we love the lobby bar for a drink before dinner and there is live entertainment (singer) and games. Afterwards we make our way to the evening show which is nice, also because you’re outside the whole time. Bartenders are great and will make you whatever you want. A favourite is a Frappuccino around 11am and a blanc or espresso martini before dinner. Top shelf liquor available. Very little to no mosquitos, we’ve visited spring, summer, fall and winter and normally the mosquitos would find me but not here. The evenings are beautiful. Definitely will return!
