We had very pleasurable experience with all the staff, especially Jesus. He took care of all 14 of us, making sure we had dinner reservations daily and private beds and cabanas.

Super holiday. Staff made the experience. Plenty to do, loads of places to eat and drink. Scoops is a must!! Zen was our fave place (we went 3 times!! Once for the teppanyaki show which is highly recommended!!) All restaurants amazing though. We did Oceanside x1, Rio x2, Grazie x2, Score bar x2, Hunters x2, Zen x3 and buffet the rest. Score bar not snacks at all. We had full bellies. Also at lunchtimes Grazie pizzas were the best!! And the food truck by beach is also very good!! Yes it was very hot and humid, yes there was quite a lot of seaweed - but neither are the hotels fault and the hotel do cleanup the beach seaweed every couple of days. Room was big, clean and ice cold. Massive shower too! Loads of sunbeds available. Towels available throughout day. Parasols a little harder to come by the longer you leave it. Flowrider is awesome!! SUP boards and mini cats by the beach cool too! Lazy is river MASSIVE - inflatables ideal!! Also did a morning at Splash water park too. Really good but glad we stayed at Bavaro. Not pestered by the sales guys on beach too much. Just a firm no and they leave you too it. Shout out to our TUI reps Anthony and Jose Daniel, and also hotel staff Robinson (incredible guy who went above and beyond) and Evert (Hunters) Only negatives we can think of (and take these with a pinch of salt) - hotel could do with a revamp in places (parts are looking a little tired but doesn’t take away any experience) - buffet area was stressful at certain times with amount of guests. We did a couple of day trips - high recommend saona island via catamaran. Very long and tiring day, but beach was out of this world! Re tipping, we tipped $10 every couple of days to the maids, $5 every couple of days to snack and drink room restock guys, $5 for every evening meal (not buffet) then a couple of $1s throughout the day for various bits. Prob spent around $200 in tips total.

At first glance, the hotel looks really nice. However, if you have an eye for detail and have experienced true luxury, you’ll quickly realize it’s not worth the money. The service is very slow, and some staff members can be extremely rude—particularly in the coffee shop. I would avoid the barista called Elaine who certainly needs to work on her people skills. On a positive note, the poolside staff really made our day. A big shoutout to Edwin, who brought us drinks throughout the day and always had a smile on his face, even while working in the heat! Robinson was also incredibly helpful—he answered all our questions efficiently and was a pleasure to deal with. After a week here, I found myself constantly hungry, as the food was quite poor. The highlight was supposed to be the steakhouse, but even that disappointed. We had a reservation for 7:30 PM but didn’t get seated until 8:30 PM. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly either. I repeatedly found thick black hairs around the room and in the tub—clearly not mine, as I’m a redhead. We didn’t book the Diamond Club, but if you want better service, I highly recommend it. Without it, you’re made to feel like a second-class guest. All in all, we enjoyed the sunshine and the pool, but we won’t be returning.

Diamond club is not worth it. NO premium bar in your room. They give you ONE bottle of liquor the next day. The Hunter restaurant was HORRIBLE. 7PM reservation didn't get in until 8 our dinner came over an hour late and it was WRONG! Our butler was nice but very LAXED in helping us. Diamond club area and reons need updating. We had a leak in our room that was never fix, went home with suitcase filled of WET CLOTHES because they wanted to charge us to set the cloths that got wet from their crappy room with a ceiling leak! Teen club was a joke too!!

Beautiful hotel
It is a very nice resort everything is clean. the staff is all very friendly, has an excellent gym as well, the pools are also very fun.
