We booked this resort very last minute due to complications with our previous resort. The resort was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. They stocked our mini fridge with what we requested and did so plentifully. It is definitely a party atmosphere which isn’t so much us but they did have a lovely quiet pool. The food at the buffet was adequate but the food at the Al la carts not so much, though I had the lasagna and my husband had the bolognese the first time we went to the Italian and it was quite good the second was the bolognese was eatable but the lasagna not.

It is definitely NOT Royal treatment!
Food was good but was disappointed in the overall caliber of the resort. It is rated 4 stars but was bloody expensive for what we got. The garden view room faced the side of a building next to the parking lot. No garden to speak of other than a 6 foot stretch of ground with a few bushes. Beach was fine sand, fairly small and water was murky. Very little shade on the beach to be found. I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting something better for the price we paid. The resort grounds are not kept as clean as other resorts we’ve been to on other islands (dirty dishes left for hours outside rooms, garbage piles left in garden area in our building, layers of leaves and unswept dirt on paths, a large ketchup spill left on the walkway for many hours to the point it actually bleached the stones). Supply of towels in our room was hit and miss. We didn’t have ANY towels in our room when we returned from our excursion on a very hot day. We were so hot and sweaty and desperately needed to shower before our dinner reservation that night. I called front desk 3 times over 3 hours BEGGING for towels so we could shower. We ended up going out to our à la carte dinner dirty and sticky. I was NOT impressed! The only positives we noticed are they serve premium liquor (but we don’t drink much) and we didn’t have to sign out to get our beach towels. Good experience to try something new but we won’t come back here again. We can stay at beautiful clean resorts on other islands that cost half the price!

An Experience To Remember
Our experience was exceptional, the hotel was really nice. The room was nice and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, beautiful scenery. The best part of my experience is my Butlers Andre and Subi they were exceptional, Andre made our experience even better. The food was ok the night life calm. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family to experience, the wonderful service and great hospitality of my Butler Andre. I felt welcome and very happy one of my best island experience. We would love for everyone to experience what we experienced at the Royalton Chic Antigua, don’t forget to ask for Andre your butler.
