Caregiver Getaway
This was my annual "Caregiver Getaway," which I usually do in Mexico since It is more convenient from Seattle. I am glad I mixed it up this year to try CHIC. This is a beautiful all-inclusive resort on a spectacular beach. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Kenryca in Elements buffet was amazing! She was always bustling to help people, and I looked forward to starting every day with her contagious smile. Raylene in Housekeeping was another bright spot, but really all the staff did a great job. As an old guy, I was a bit concerned about the focus of this being a party place. It was definitely lively and fun, but I did not feel that it was over the top. Although not 5-star dining, all of the restaurants were very good.

Best butler service
Nickesha was the best diamond club butler I've had. Spectacular personality and nice lady all round, such lovely service provided, attentive to my needs. Grateful to the Beautiful lady. My diamond club bartender Hannah made my stay great, with amazing drinks and amazing service. Beautiful girl overall.

Beautiful beach
This was our second visit here, so we knew what to expect and what not to expect and of course we expected them to run out of things and for the food to be not real great and they did. You ask yourself why did this woman come here again? Well, my husband really likes beachfront swim out rooms and I could not find another resort in Antigua with swim out rooms. And the rooms in building six are very nice. The housekeeping staff in this area do a great job with the rooms as well. The only thing that really ruined the trip for me was they don’t enforce the smoking areas and there was a guy smoking in the diamond pool and when I asked him about it, he started getting extremely rude to me, and then he decided to throw his cigarette butts in the diamond pool and the staff were not saying anything to him. As I kept confronting him, he kept getting louder and ruder and smoking more and more and every time I saw him the rest of the week, he was around one of the pools just smoking in everybody’s face. I just don’t understand why they can’t run a non-smoking resort. It shocks me to know that anybody even smokes anymore. It is so uncommon in my life. Running out of things was a common occurrence again this trip for example, one bar would not have mango daiquiris or mint or melon liquor, but a bar 50 feet away would, and the bartenders/ staff could not take it upon themselves to walk over there and get some more mix to make you that daiquiri, or whatever drink you wanted. I asked for the diamond club drink menu at the diamond pool bar because there was a drink on there that I liked when I stayed there in October 2024 and the bartender said they had to get rid of the menus cause they never had any of the stuff to make the drinks. Also only one bar at the whole place had mint, what kind of Caribbean resort does not have stuff to make Mojitos? They also don’t have bloody Mary mix so it’s hit or miss the bloody Mary (mostly miss, tomato juice with a little bit of Worcestershire sauce does not make a bloody Mary ) so you get and it takes the bartenders who are already busy forever to make a bloody Mary. If the resort would just invest in a good mix, they could doctor it up a little bit, Toss in a shot of Grey goose and send you on your way. The food was a bit better than the last time we were there, and we knew going in their food was not very good so we made sure we had a nice meal the night before we left. And then found some options at the resort that were fine. Going to both the Olympic and elements buffet for breakfast and lunch trying to get napkins or a glass of water was like pulling teeth. There was one server in the elements buffet, Kenyasha (her name was something like that, she had purple hair) she was amazing and the rest of the servers there were just phoning in their jobs, the hosts at all, the restaurants were great though. The real highlight was the fitness staff. Daniel went out of his way to talk to the guests, not just about fitness but about their stay at the resort. And he had great boot camps and aqua aerobics. Elvis also had very tough boot camps and was very friendly when he saw you around the resort. This resort has great potential if they could just figure out how to get their staff to be all highly motivated and get a consistent food chain and drink supply chain, I would definitely continue to visit

Not a five star resort
I am currently at the resort on day six of our nine night stay. We have three rooms. All rooms are the same. I’ll start with housekeeping - while one of the three rooms doesn’t have any major complaints the other two rooms definitely do. There is no consistency in the housekeeping. Some times we have towels sometimes we have enough towels and sometimes we have no towels. Some rooms get snacks and drinks replenished but for the most part we need to call. There are always empty food trays outside the rooms sometimes for more than 24 hours. Bar service- we are having difficulty (especially today) with alcohol brands that were available yesterday and are not today. The Oasis bar on the beach shows all kinds of alcohol on the shelves but apparently are full of water and for show only. Sometimes you get good bar service (find Diane! She’s awesome) and other times not so much. The public bathrooms are hit or miss. Toilets don’t flush, no soap in the dispenser The good- the entertainment is great. The pool aerobics are excellent. The pool is always full for the entertainment. Room service is reliable if you order from your tv or app. Baraflal does an amazing job at the food truck. He’s always smiling and happy. But any given day there is something not available at the food truck. Food condiments or cutlery. Manlight is entertainment on his own. He makes sure everyone is safe but also very happy and fun to be around. We have gone to the front desk and they will listen but we don’t see any real changes. As a travel agent I’m disappointed because I would expect better for what we paid. It really comes down to management because the resort is beautiful. The beach is beautiful. Just an honest review from six guests at the resort currently.
