  Nice activity!

  Yohana did a fantastic job. That was super fun. Her contageous fun vibe made me sing on the stage, which is pretty rare! Good job!

  Good room, but noisy resort with bad food and poor restaurant service

  There were some positives about this place but a lot more negatives. The positives: the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and our butler was attentive. The bars had good drinks. The beach area was nice. The adults-only pool was mostly good (though see below). The negatives: The food was not great. The buffet was so-so. Two of the sit-down restaurants we went to had terrible service. At Jade, the pan-Asian restaurant, our reservation was for 7:30 but we had to stand outside until 7:50. Then we finally got seated in an area with ugly bright fluorescent lighting. Service there was incredibly slow. They didn't bring our drinks until after our appetizers (I had to ask for our drinks twice). My pad thai was the worst pad thai I've ever had. The noodles were gloppy, and there were no peanuts or bean sprouts even though those were mentioned as some of the ingredients on the menu. No egg either. Service at Hunter's steakhouse was mediocre. The waitress was unfriendly. Hunter's didn't even have a bar - I asked for a martini and they couldn't make one. Who ever heard of a restaurant where you can't get a cocktail? Especially a steakhouse? The Italian restaurant didn't have a bar either. So I got a glass of red wine and it was sickly sweet. And my appetizer was supposed to be mozzarella and pesto. I was expecting fresh mozzarella balls but instead it was some fried mozzarella square that tasted like mozzarella sticks, with barely any pesto on top. The teppanyaki experience was good. So was Dorado. Another big negative: too much noise. We had a hideaway room, and a couple of nights we could hear a thumping bass beat coming from one of the main areas as we were ready to go to bed. At least the noise ended around 10:30-11 pm. The adults-only pool area was generally good, although one afternoon there was some sort of DJ playing painfully loud music there for over an hour. How is anyone supposed to have a relaxing afternoon with that racket going on? There were also a couple of times when two different pool areas had loud music playing, and the different beats of the music clashed together into an ugly din. Another negative was the theater. The theater is very cheap-looking, like they haven't updated it in decades. Some of the seats were broken, so a couple of times we sat up in the balcony. But one night an employee came up and told us we couldn't sit up there even though there were no signs that said it was closed. Basically, we wanted a relaxing, quiet vacation with good food and that is not what we got. We sampled 3-4 different shows at the theater and they all used the exact same rear projections. The magic show was good, but mostly these shows lacked the high production values you'd find on a cruise ship.

  I had an amazing time at the Hideaway with Jean Paul, Karlos, and the vibe team. Christian is also a good and attentive waiter! I will be coming back.

  Our wonderful week

  We traveled with 5 couples and everyone had a great experience. Valentin was our butler and we couldn’t ask for a better experience. He took care of Al of our different needs and wants. This is our second time having Valentin and would recommend him to anyone going to the resort.

  Jean Paul is the best dancer in the Dominican

  Jean Paul aka jp papi gave me the best time at the dominican show. He dance with me and my family and we all enjoyed dancing with him. best dance moves on the floor. He christian is my good one butler services
