Aug 14, 2025My butler was great, but I had higher expectations for this resort
Pretty resort. Food at the restaurants were very good with exception to the sushi at zen which was NOT good. Live music and white out parties were enjoyable. My butler Valentin was GREAT! Checked in with me a few times each day; wished me good morning, asked me if I needed anything, and was responsive. Delivered things promptly and was very pleasant. He even checked in to see if I arrived home safely. Thank you Valentin!

Aug 13, 2025Below Expectations for the Hotel’s Category
We would not return to this hotel. While our experience was not horrible, for a property of this category we felt it did not meet the expectations described. There was a clear lack of coordination among staff, as requests made during our stay never reached the right people. The room service food was of very poor quality, with no presentation, and nothing like what was described on the menu — what arrived was not the same dish ordered. At the burger bar, we experienced one of the poorest service interactions we’ve had in a long time. When I asked about soft drinks without gas, the waiter responded “What’s that?”, and when I inquired about other options, without even looking at me, he seemed bothered to answer and said they only had three choices. Considering the high temperatures during our visit, the lack of air conditioning was very uncomfortable. When we asked to take our food away, there was no proper solution — our burger was handed to us in a napkin as if it were to wipe our hands, and we were told we could not eat there. In our room, the coffee machine was full of insects. Even after it was cleaned, staff entered our room on three separate occasions while we were sleeping to “clean” it again, without being aware of each other’s visits or the fact that it had already been taken care of. Our stay was short as we were traveling around the country on our honeymoon, but we would not return. In other hotels in the same area — even those with lower recognition — we have found much better quality in service, food, and overall guest experience. We visit this region every year for various reasons, and this hotel unfortunately did not meet the standard we’ve come to expect.

The staff at Royalton Punta Cana is A+ #1 !! Our butler Miguel was on his A game!! Can not salute him/Miguel enough! Ananda who was sweet as candy our concierge was very helpful also . Luis in the spa took great care of us , salute!! The floor in the bathroom flooded everytime you took a shower( NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED along with the BROKEN FAN ( IN AUGUST). Jose saved the day because upon check in we noticed the refrigerator was broken also ! They had it replaced in minutes !! The masseuses at the beach were excellent!! I can't remember their names! The food at buffet 5.5 out of 10...Did not have any food at the resort that made you want to come back... as a matter of fact the Puta Cana Airport VIP lounge food was much better. KEEP YOUR STAFF HAPPY !!THEY MAKE THE PLACE!! You can start with AC or at least a ceiling fan in all locations that they work. Thanks

Aug 11, 2025Excellent small girls trip
I went here on a small girls trip for a week! Was not disappointed! Everything from the food, entertainment, pool, and beach was great. We upgraded to the Diamond status and I can’t recommend that enough. It was so helpful having a butler who we could get in contact with for anything we needed. From more items in the room, help booking reservations for dinners and even transportation to the airport. Our butler was named Valentin and he was incredible. Very attentive and on the ball. He made our trip 10x better. I’m not sure we would have loved it as much without him!!!!! If we ever come back we’d request him in a heart beat. Every staff member on this resort was so pleasant and helpful and fun. 10/10 excellent trip.

Butler of the year!!!
My Birthday visit started out rock with wrong reserved, my butler asked if I would allow him get things right. And BOY ddi he, while out hoarse back riding I rcvd a message updating me on my suit with swim up poole was ready for me! He also had my favorite wine, room decorations and a personal birthday song. He made my birthday very special 💕
