First impression of this all-inclusive resort was grand. We did all of our bookings (no agencies), and things went well. We chose diamond club to enhance our experience as suggested by some reviewers. Our butler was amazing. The community pools were very clean, and very orderly. This resort has the cleanest public restrooms I've ever seen! Every one smiles and greets you. The food was good; the service was great! The diamond club lounge offered a spread of fresh fruits and veggies, desserts, foods, and premier alcohol. The hot foods were always cold. Even the " hot and fresh" foods were barely warm. This was a definite issue regarding food safety regulations. The adult beverages were very good. The problems began once we entered our room. It was dirty with crumbs and residue scattered throughout. The sliding door screen was ripped, and there was water leaking down the wall and puddling in the shower and on the floor. There was milder on the shower floor drain, and around the bathtub. Of course we changed rooms only to be met by somethings worse. The swim-up pool was full of algae, broken pool tiles, ripped screens, missing furniture, broken or severely worn furniture, walls splattered with unknown matter, door patched instead of being replaced, and the list goes on. Please refer to the photos. We had to call daily to have our fridge and bar replenished. The Royalton splash Cancun is advertised as an autograph hotel, but clearly it is not. Outside of our room, the resort was good, and had lots of planned activities to keep guests busy. Although the white party was not at all what we expected. It reminded us of playing the game Simon Says at a rave. It was the most uncomfortable and unusual "white party" we've attended. The music was booming head bangers in Spanish, and the same songs were on repeat throughout our week stay. Based on our experience we would do not recommend.

Wonderful experience
Jhonny was an excellent Butler and fulfilled all of our needs and request. We definitely recommend this resort. The service was excellent.

Family vacation
Great service from top to bottom. Amazing experience. The only negative trip was when there was no light for a couple of hours. Besides that everything was good! All staff are remarkable
