Situated on the Dutch side and just minutes from the French side the resort is close to shops casinos restaurants water sports scuba diving and snorkeling excursions deep sea fishing and cruises to nearby islands. The small beach is secluded is an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling. The resort offers a large pool as well as the private pools for villas and penthouses a children pool Internet access open-air cafe and a car rental desk. Weekly activities are available including a manager cocktail party with a live band and complimentary snacks.

Probably the most run down resort we've ever stayed at

First to the good news. The rooms are large and nicely laid out. Our two-bedroom suite had a front and rear balcony with tables and chairs on the front balcony. The bathrooms are all real marble, and were nice when new. The kitchen was nice with a large refrigerator and a four-seat breakfast bar. There was a table for writing or computer use. Guests can use the laundry room for free. There is a nice convenience store at the lower level. There is secure parking, but the access cards are wonky and many people would not like to go one or two levels below the lobby at night. Now the bad news. Almost nothing that moves works correctly. The faucets squeak and bind. The toilets run slowly forever. They fixed one of ours, but it still was not good. Both now leak water into the bowl. The doors rub on the floor tiles and can’t be opened all the way. Our room had two safes. One worked, one was torn apart. The plumbing for the toilet looked like an ancient relic. The shower baths need you to step up two feet and over, not good for old folks. There is one grab bar in each tub. There are no shower curtains so the tile floors get soaked. The water never really got hot. The stove top did not work when we tried it, a maintenance guy came up and called someone who reset a circuit breaker somewhere else. Later the refrigerator, microwave, stove and two lights went out. We were not using any appliances at the time. They just reset the internal circuit breaker. It happened a third time, nothing fixed, they just reset it. I would not settle for that at home, something is wrong. The safety lock for the door was torn off and lay on a shelf. It was never fixed. They stopped using the hot tubs on each balcony years ago, but they have not removed them due to cost and they are an eyesore. The card reader for the room is hit and miss. All the room trim needs painted. We stayed at two other locations this trip and the floors were clean, we know that everywhere gets sand, here these white tile floors were dirty, walking on them in bare feet gave you instant dirty feet. The main sitting room does not have enough light to read after dark with all the light turned on. The TV is from the French side and is much less usable for English speaking visitors than the Dutch TV. Even though this is on the Dutch side it uses French TV. The sliding doors for the balcony require brute force to open and close. The drawers for all the bedroom cabinets are worn and sticky. The beds are OK.

Home away from home

The Resort has always been a home away from home for my family especially on Summer breaks. A good location from the busy world of town. Relaxing and friendly ambiance. Resort amenities and activities are suited for vacation Definitely will come back again on our next vacation.

Review of stay at Sapphire Beach Club

Very pleasant stay. Great view of the sea. Convenient mini supermarket on premises. Affordable restaurant. Nice swimming pool and kiddie pool.walking distance to Mullet bay.

Best Trip Ever!

This resort was absolutely amazing! The staff was very attentive and friendly. We had an ocean view room which had a wonderful view! Every morning we had coffee on the balcony which was.an absolute delight. The resort was in walking distance to the shopping area of Maho Beach. Also, there was a wonderful restaurant on the premises of the hotel and that had great food was great! A MUST STAY!

Excellent front desk but facility is dated and structur looked unsafe.

Front desk was very helpful and polite. Rooms are very spacious but dated. The building structure looked unsafe and the basement and parking garage looked gloomy.
