Secrets Akumel was by far one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We visited for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and were made to feel special every day. From check In to check out and everything in between this hotel is nothing but exceptional. Every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure that all your needs are met every minute of every day. Even down to cleaning your sunglasses around the pool! All of the staff were fantastic but a special shout out goes to Jose, Ana and Basilo who looked after us daily around the pool. Nothing was ever too much and our glasses were never empty! We will definitely be back!

Great Stay at Secrets Akumal - Service is Absolutely Top Notch!
We have stayed at The Vine, Los Cabos, Maroma, Excellence RM, and Le Blanc, and we found the service better here than anywhere we have ever been. My wife and I stayed a week in the Presidential Suite (2302) and loved every minute. The room is great, with the corner location giving views of both the pool side and the ocean/beach. Our concierge, Metz, really elevated the stay. She arranged a Bali bed each day, kept us up to date on all scheduled events, made reservations for teppanyaki and ensured we had great tables for the night events like Asado (fire show) and Akumal (art and food), brought snorkeling equipment to us at the Bali bed, and generally looked for little things to do every day to elevate our stay. She and the housekeeper, Yaqueline, both left cards and gifts in the room for our anniversary, and they really helped make the trip the best we've ever been on. The grounds are very nice, if more spread out than somewhere like The Vine or Le Blanc, but the walks to restaurants and activities are nice. There was sargassum in the water, but at least five or six men out raking and clearing every day. We did the bike ride with Lizbeth and Daniel and it was a nice way to get off the resort and explore a little bit. We enjoyed the entertainment, especially the fire show and the "Voice Akumal" singing competition among guests. We spent time at both the main pool and the beach (Bali beds), and want to give special call-outs to Agustin at the pool and Alejandro at the beach. These are a couple of the nicest, hardest-working people we've ever met at any resort, really trying to anticipate guests' needs and make it happen before you even have to ask. Along with Efren, the Bali bed waiter, they helped to make the trip perfect. There are lots of places with nice views and comfortable rooms, but the attitudes of staff members and service-orientation can really elevate a trip. Of all the places we have stayed, Secrets Akumal's staff seemed to have the most consistent commitment to customer service that we have experienced. Everyone was friendly and genuinely wanted to help. We will absolutely be back.

Happy people = happy vacation
Great hotel and location to town is convenient- Swam with the turtles and had great experience - the only bad thing is the amount of seaweed this time of year. Manuel at beach bar was the best!!

Beautiful Resort
The resort was so beautiful and exceptionally clean. Lots of food options and very friendly, attentive staff. Rooms were fabulous and entertainment was wonderful!
