My boyfriend and I have never done an all-inclusive resort or vacation before. We were recommended to go to Secrets Akumal in Riviera Maya Mexico. After tons of research from online, we decided we were gonna take a chance and go let me tell you if you were on the fence take that chance and book your vacation to this resort. You don’t only feel like you were on a relaxing vacation, but you truly feel like it’s an extension of your home. From the time you exit your car to the time, you sadly have to get back into that car to go back to the airport. Any single person makes you feel safe in at home. We decided to do the preferred club and was very thankful that we did. The few extra perks such as the building being by the pools or having extra access to certain areas made you feel extra special. Our concierge team at building three was so attentive in there for us if we had any questions and insured we always had the daily schedule so we knew what to look forward to. The cleaning team for during the day and turned down service always made your room feel brand new anytime you walked into it. My boyfriend and I had a pretty solid routine of waking up and going to the buffet for breakfast every morning. We always got excited for breakfast because the options were endless, and it was all very yummy food. We would then head off to one of the three pools in which the activities pool was our favorite. The activities team at the resort is nonetheless spectacular. No matter what event my boyfriend and I were a part of we had nonstop, laughing and just a great time. Some of our favorite activities were water aerobics, blackjack in the pool, Spanish lessons, the crazy games, etc. I could go on and on because no matter if you’re in the mood to do an activity or just to relax this resort has a spot for you. Lastly, I just wanted to say that all of the drinks and the food at this resort we’re surprisingly enjoyable. We never had a meal that we were disappointed with or a drink. Between the lunch specials and all the options for dinners or the show and dinners you can find something you like everywhere. I do not have enough amazing things to say about this resort and my boyfriend and I will definitely be back in the future. We couldn’t imagine a better place to go to vacation.

Exceptional 2 week stay
We’ve just returned from two incredible weeks at this resort (room 7506, block 7), and I already find myself wishing we were back there. From start to finish, it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. There’s so much to enjoy, from a beautiful beach with snorkelling opportunities to see the natural reefs, marine fish and even turtles. Back at the resort, the atmosphere was always relaxed, with plenty of activities if you wanted them and space to just unwind if you didn’t. Dining was consistently excellent, and every restaurant we tried was worth visiting. A personal highlight was Coco Café — the coffee was spot on every time, and the staff there were genuinely wonderful, always friendly and quick to make each visit feel special. The service throughout the resort is what really makes it shine. Araceli, our block 7 concierge, was outstanding — from daily WhatsApp updates to sorting even the smallest details, she made everything effortless. By the pool, Rueben and Antonio went above and beyond, and Nilo and Ricardo kept drinks and laughs flowing all day. Everyone worked so hard to make sure we felt truly looked after. It’s rare to come home from a holiday feeling like every single day was memorable, but that’s exactly what happened here. We’ll definitely be returning

Great to be Back!
Second time back at Secrets Akumal and it’s with such a pleasure that I get to say our experience was even better this time compared to last year. The service everywhere was impeccable, our concierge in our building Karime, the barmen at the Rendezvous bar, the Market Cafe, Bordeaux, Portofino, and Seaside Grill staff were all so welcoming, caring, and kind. I can’t give this place enough praise and credit. The service is impeccable and all of the staff are all super attentive and kind. You can tell they’re all super genuine too, they really care. I love it when they all say welcome home, because I truly feel at home.

5 star Honeymoon Stay
My husband and I stayed at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya for 10 nights for our honeymoon, and it was the best resort experience we’ve ever had. Our flight was delayed so we didn’t get to the resort until past midnight but from the moment we arrived, the service was incredible. Every member of staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and committed to making our stay perfect. Our concierge, Karim, was brilliant and kept us updated every day about what was on at the resort. She made sure we were well looked after, and went the extra mile to welcome us for our honeymoon. The food was delicious, with a fantastic variety of dining options. Our favourite restaurants were Seaside for lunch (amazing fish tacos), and El a Patio for dinner. The tepenyaki was also a great experience. Activity wise, we loved snorkelling with sea turtles and our guide Alan knew the best spots to go and we saw over 5-6 turtles. The resort offered a schedule of activities daily including arts and crafts and fitness etc. We were really impressed by the evening shows and entertainment, and the entertainment team, including Didier and the MC (whose name I don’t remember - sorry!), as well as all the performers were brilliant. The resort itself was perfectly located and very well maintained. We loved the variety of pools each with a different vibe. Our swim-up room was stunning, and we appreciated the turndown service every night, and the room service offerings. The gym was well-equipped, and the spa was fantastic. We highly recommend booking the Holy Fire wellbeing massage with Perla—it was an unforgettable, deeply relaxing experience. Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya truly made our honeymoon memorable and ticked all our boxes in what we wanted - a relaxing, luxurious holiday in a beautiful spot. We’re already looking forward to returning. This resort is the gold standard for luxury, service, and unforgettable experiences. We would highly recommend!

Secrets Akumal was a dream
I'd been eyeing this hotel for a while and was glad to finally experience it. I went with a few members of my family and enjoyed the impeccable service. The hotel family who truly made it wonderful were Daniel from the entertainment team, Osuna, Ruben, Abraham, Arantxa, Oscar and Augustin. Don't miss out on this great experience.
