Fantastic hotel. Konteh was amazing and the facilities were incredible. The rooms were amazing, cleaned daily, pool was not ful. Weather amazing in August, variety of restaurants, all you can eat with high quality food, all inclusive for everything, great staff, bed comfortable. Will be coming back.

Perfect couple resort
We visited for our anniversary and from the start the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We were welcomed with champagne and after an effortless check-in, we had the opportunity to explore the hotel as our room wasn’t ready. So many dining options so we were not stuck for ideas where to eat. We spent the day in the pool and evenings listening to live entertainment. This is a resort that we will be visiting again in the near future.

We stayed at Secrets Lanzarote recently and overall the experience was quite average. The hotel itself looks nice at first glance, but when you look closer, the rooms are very basic. Our bathroom definitely needed maintenance — the toilet door was broken, the toilet seat was loose and sliding when sat on, and there were visible signs of rust on the floors and walls. Our room overlooked the parking area, which wasn’t terrible as we didn’t upgrade our room, but unfortunately there was construction going on nearby. The noise started around 7 AM each day, which wasn’t great if you wanted a more relaxed morning. Breakfast offered a wide variety, which was a plus, but hygiene could have been better. Some of the food was left uncovered, and we saw birds eating from the cakes and bread, which wasn’t very appealing. The restaurants also closed quite early (around 9 PM), which felt restrictive — one night we didn’t realise the closing time and ended up having to eat very quickly as they were literally tidying up! In terms of facilities, the gym was free to use, which was nice, but access to the spa facilities came at an extra charge, which felt a little disappointing considering the overall price of the stay. In addition, they also had volleyball and puddle courts but had to book in advance to use these. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great when we went, and we were told the courts were all booked up. Location-wise, the hotel is clearly geared towards those who like to stay all-inclusive. There aren’t many shops or restaurants nearby, and there isn’t much else to do around the area unless you travel out. One of the bigger disappointments was the “private beach.” It’s really just a small sandy patch with a few chairs — nothing like a proper beach. In reality, the hotel sits on cliffs and rocks and have to travel out to the nearest beach if you want a beach day out. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, which we really appreciated. Overall, the hotel might work if you’re looking for an all-inclusive stay and don’t plan on leaving the property much, but for us it felt a bit underwhelming.

On arrival we were told that we were getting upgraded to a sea view because we were new to the hotel. We had originally booked a Pool view which actually had a better sea view from the room we were given. Then we were told the room won’t be ready till 3:00pm which was a 3 hour wait.When finally getting the room, we had a tree view, so the next day we complained and got a pool view room which we had to wait for again till 3pm which we paid for in the first place. And that room had a better sea view than the room that they upgraded us to. As for the food, it was very poor for a 5* hotel. Same food buffet style, wasn’t hot, chips like warm rubber and mostly the same every day. The barefoot grill was awful, ham and cheese toastie tasted disgusting. Bread was awful. As for the area, nothing there. Only the marina about 10 mins walk away with a few restaurants. Very over priced and the cocktails were awful, Had miles better in 4* hotels and that’s being honest. Bar staff not the friendliest. Would not return. Not worth what you pay.

Amazing!
Amazing hotel and five star service. Rooms are stunning. Beds are so comfortable. Staff cannot do enough for you. Id recommend going preferred club as this allows you access to all restaurants and areas. Tip: if you're booking a swim up room request room 100-104 as these rooms have the most sun as other rooms have no sun in the afternoon. Will 100% be back
