  Another relaxing stay at Secrets

  Just back from our second lovely stay at Secrets Lanzarote but this time we thought we’d upgrade to the Preferred Club. On balance it was worth it - same friendly, helpful staff but a bigger room (we were on the 4th floor of the main building), table service breakfast at Portofino, optional lunch at Oceana, access to the lower pool area and Club Lobby plus a few other little touches that made a difference. As before, the hotel has a quiet, relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for a week of winter sunshine away from the crowds. The food is very good (as we were fully inclusive we didn’t try the buffet at the World Café), the spa, gym and activities are all excellent (morning yoga on the terrace listening to the waves is highly recommended) and you’re just a short walk from the marina and shops at Puerto Calero if you fancy a stroll. A couple of suggestions to make things even better: being able to book a table for dinner in the app (sometimes there’s a wait), adding more drink options to the wine list (cocktails, soft drinks, etc) and at the Sports Bar where coffee could also be offered. Thanks Secrets - I’m sure we’ll be back!

  Yet another wonderful holiday

  Once again a wonderful stay at our favourite hotel. We had a beautiful room with non stop sunshine ( when the sun was out ) and a great view of the sea and entrance to the marina. It was fascinating to see the changes of the coast and landscape. The winter rain meant we saw greenery everywhere, We were again so well looked after. We went Preferred club and enjoyed the extra luxuries this offered. Breakfast in Portofino was always a highlight and we also enjoyed all the other restaurants! Particular thanks to Laura who ensured my choice of tomato juice at breakfast was met with a special smile each day! To be honest, all the staff throughout the hotel are superb - friendly and helpful! Can’t name everyone but Laura and Carla were both particular favourites too! Roll on next year - Secrets, Lanzarote is the only hotel for us!

  A fab hotel and one i would recommend

  A super hotel , lovely rooms, great service. Lots of facilities for the guests with lively evening entertainment. The breakfasts were 1st class. Our only issue was with the restaurants which were average and a bit overpriced.

  Relaxing Stay

  It’s a lovely property and an excellent vibe of relaxation. You can hike, swim, enjoy the spa and the various activities. I will definitely be back.

  Lovely staff, terrible food.

  The staff were absolutely fabulous, the location good but the hotel is getting a bit shabby and the food was dreadful, not at all 5 Star. Every meal we had in every restaurant was either dry, hard or had little or no flavour. The rooms need re-thinking and refurbishing, and some of the old disused outdoor areas need renovation and re-purposing. …but the staff were incredible! I would love to see the rather odd fake-grass clad wooden platform in front of the Oceana restaurant removed and that entire sandy beach area renovated with palm trees - lights strung between them, tables below, mellow music and nice flavoursome fish dishes served. Perhaps an occasional barbecue?
