  Great holiday

  Brilliant food, service, locations and rooms. Exceptionally good and actually (out of school holidays) very very reasonably priced

  Best hotel!!

  One of the best hotels we have been to! Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday! All staff are willing to help in anyway they can! Very quiet all day! We did B&B the breakfast had great variety then we ate down in the marina in the evening which food down in the marina is AMAZING! Hoping to come back in the future!

  A decent stay but wouldn't return

  Overall, it was a decent stay at Secrets Lanzarote. We were upgraded to an Ocean View suite (we had booked a Partial Ocean view suite) and it was well maintained and good in size. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot with good pressure, all the expected amenities were included (robe, slippers, plenty of towels, hairdryer, mirror, wardrobes, safe etc.) and there were also two large televisions. Unfortunately, there was a horrible sewage smell from the toilet which we asked to be looked at multiple times during the stay but ultimately had to just put up with it. And whilst the minibar should have been restocked every day as part of the price of the room, we had to request this each day. On one occasion, they tried to charge us 17 euros to bring a bottle of water to the room, which I promptly sent back (water should be included each day in the mini bar). The service was both good and bad in parts, depending on the staff member. Some were terribly unhelpful (borderline rude) and others were absolutely wonderful. Konte, in particular, offered the warmest of welcomes and gave us a lovely tour of the resort. The spa staff were absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed spending the day there as well as our massages. The spa was so clean, had lots of different areas and was very relaxing. The staff accommodated all our requests via email before arriving too. The serving and reception staff, however, were less helpful. The upgrade to Preferred Club was worth it, I think. The separate pool area was far less busy and quiet, the complimentary spa access was great and the separate breakfast restaurant had a great selection and no wait time. The preferred members lounge was small without much selection of food or drink, but the basics were there (coffee, water, some alcohol and snacks). The food left a bit to be desired, however, and I'm very glad we didn't go half or full board. We tried Oceana, the world buffet and Portofino, and all were disappointing. They weren't terrible, but run of the mill food, not much flavour and prices that were far higher than the quality. We didn't go to the shows or activities, though I did attend a stretching and yoga class which was very average, albeit with a beautiful view. The resort was calm and peaceful, just what we needed. However, whilst it's positioned as a 5* hotel, I'd rate it more a 4* and wouldn't return due to the food and service. I'd also add that booking directly with Hyatt proved to be a nightmare. They changed their prices during the booking process, and whilst I contacted them with screenshots as proof of the bizarre price hike, they took 2 weeks to respond to say they couldn't help. Booking via Expedia was far more cost effective and speedy.

  Secrets - Review

  Nina on animation. Was extremely good and very helpful and friendly. She made the experience really good with her entertainment and activities. Thank you Only concern is there is no music around any pools , no balls allowed in the pool. Atmosphere is too quiet But Nina made is so much better . Thank you so much Nina

  Fantastic stay

  Lovely staff, excellent food. The suite with private pool was wonderful. Only complaint: change the music and have instrumental chill.
