Jul 29, 2025Group getaway in Costa Rica!
We went to Secrets Papagayo to celebrate some milestone birthdays ( 1 - 45yrs, 3 - 50yrs, 1 - 75yrs). Overall the trip was outstanding....no room for complaints. The service at the Seaside Grill was awesome and friendly, everyday. My favorite spot was the preferred lounge. William is an absolutely outstanding bartender, with Daniel and Donald coming in at a strong 2nd. These gentlemen were more than accommodating, they remembered not only our names, but also remembered our preferred drinks and how we like them. Daniel taught me the best way to pick a dragonfruit, turned me on to spicy tequila and showed me how to peel a starfruit. William showed us some bar tricks like shots dominos and took such care/pride in his craft. Priceless and unforgettable. The Spa staff were soooo friendly and Jennifer, my masseuse, was so relaxing that I fell asleep on the table. Even snored a little....ha ha. Definitely an outstanding resort. Costa Rica in general is a beautiful place, full of adventure and adrenaline seeking opportunities. You should definitely do it. Pura Vida!!

We enjoyed our 10 day vacation with friends at Secrets Papagayo where we relaxed in cabanas, took advantage of the water activities, dined and enjoyed their entertainment. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and the setting/location was spectacular!

A Truly Luxurious Escape
Arrival and Check-In Our special check-in was seamless, welcoming, and tailored to our needs. The staff made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived, setting the tone for an exceptional stay. Accommodations The preferred rooms are exceptionally posh, with plush furnishings, elegant décor, and every modern convenience you could ask for. Waking up here felt like a dream. Preferred Lounge Experience The bartenders in the preferred lounge are masters of their craft. Each cocktail was a work of art, perfectly balanced and served with impeccable flair. It became our favorite spot to unwind. Dining Every meal delighted the senses. The menu offered creative twists on classic dishes, and the flavors were consistently spot-on. Dining here felt special every time. Views and Atmosphere From sunrise coffee to evening stargazing, the views were nothing short of breathtaking. Panoramic vistas through floor-to-ceiling windows made relaxation effortless. Conclusion We had such a relaxing time—no complaints whatsoever. This was pure indulgence, and we can’t wait to return.

Amazing customer service
Best part of this resort are the employees! Alonso and Harold made our experience at Secrets an amazing and memorable one. These two employees went above and beyond with customer service to ensure we had the best honeymoon! Hyatt is lucky to have these two men working at this resort! Food and drinks were amazing! Room was clean and up to date. Definitely recommend getting a massage from the spa.

Great Breakfast Service
Gina was brilliant with her breakfast service at the Market Place Cafe. This stood out even more because it is buffet style.
- AdvisoryStudent Groups (Spring Breakers) are not permitted at this hotel. A student group consist of those that travel without parent supervision or a responsible adult in each room.
