Beautiful food, wonderful staff, amazing experience!
What a wonderful experience here! Staff was so friendly, the resort was beautiful, and the food was outstanding. Definitely can't go wrong with a stay here! I worked on a 5-star cruise ship prior providing luxury experiences for clientele, and this did not disappoint!

A two week stay in paradise!
My husband and I stayed at this resort from 30th Sept-14th Oct for a relaxing vacation. We booked based on the fantastic reviews and they were not wrong! Location/Beach: The hotel is not near Cancun's main hotel zone, it is further down the coast. This gives a more private feel which is especially nice on the beach. The resort has a large stretch of beach which was not cramped with neighbouring resorts. There are no issues with people trying to sell souvenirs or tours on the beach, which is a nice change. Also, whilst we were there we saw very little sargassum and the resort do a great job of keeping the beach clear by running the tractor each morning. Cleanliness/Comfort: The resort is absolutely spotless! It's important to consider how new the resort is, which definitely elevates the clean feel. However the upkeep of the resort is to such a high standard and you see this throughout the day and night. Cleaners and maintenance staff are seen all over the resort and ensure everything is kept running smoothly. All public area restrooms are stocked and clean. Bedrooms are cleaned every single day with fresh linen and towels always available- we never had a day where our room wasn't cleaned and up to standard. A nice touch in the swim out suite rooms is the provision of incense sticks daily and bath salts & bubble bath. The beds are huge and very comfy. Staff provide nightly turn down service which is a great touch. Service: In my opinion one of the stand-out points of this resort. The service was second to none- probably the best service we have ever received at a luxury resort. The staff genuinely want you to have a great time and they go above and beyond to make that happen. Make sure to tip because it really is deserved! Special mentions must go to Luis (our concierge) who fulfilled our every request and made sure we had a really special stay. Icelda (The Market Cafe) who greeted us every morning with a warm welcome and a mimosa! Fillipe (our waiter in The Seaside Grill) who was extremely welcoming and recommended some wonderful food. Fredy (the pool concierge at the Social Pool) who cleaned our sunglasses, provided cold towels and relaxing head massages! All of the Social Pool waiters were fantastic especially Alejandro. Alberto (the manager of the Market Cafe) organised a tequila & mezcal tasting class for us in the resort's private cellar- this was great fun and we highly recommend this if you're interested in learning about the history of the drinks and a bit of Mexican culture. Finally, the gentlemen in Coco Cafe, who greeted us every morning with a warm smile and made gorgeous iced lattes for us, always offering to bring them to us while we took a seat to relax. Facilities: There are 3 pools, each with their own atmosphere. We spent most of our days at the Social Pool as it was very lively- the entertainment team do a fantastic job of getting everyone involved in poolside activities like volleyball, dancing, trivia game etc. The Jungle Pool is absolutely beautiful and really does have a jungle feel to it. It's much more tranquil and a place you would definitely go to relax and read a book. The beach is wonderful and there is a great beach bar with swinging seats where you can enjoy a cucumber mezcalito in the sun! My husband used the gym a couple of mornings and, whilst it's a smaller space, all the equipment was maintained well. There is a beautiful spa onsite which we didn't get the chance to use. There are plenty of restaurants and you will not go hungry (more in the next section). Food/Drink: Without a doubt the BEST food I have ever had at an all inclusive resort. There are 6 speciality restaurants: the French restaurant is Bordeaux, Italian is Portofino, Mexican is El Patio, Asian is Himitsu, seafood is Oceana, and the steak restaurant is Seaside Grill. TIP: Men, make sure to bring dress/long pants and shirts as there is a more formal dress code for these restaurants. The French restaurant and Seaside Grill were our favourites but we genuinely didn't have a bad meal anywhere. The Market Cafe has a lovely breakfast buffet but one rule we found slightly frustrating was that men can't wear vests and have to wear at least a short-sleeved t-shirt. The rule seems a bit strange as women can wear vests or bikini cover-ups! Coco Cafe offers lots of different coffees, ice creams, sweet treats, pastries, sandwiches and breakfast/yoghurt pots. All delicious. If you don't feel like dining out, room service is great quality and always arrived on-time and piping hot. Chico brought us room service on a couple of occasions and had such a great sense of humour and brought fresh flowers in a little vase. There is a hatch in the wardrobe of the bedroom where you load your dirty plates once finished and, using the app, you can request a collection. This is a really clever way of ensuring you are not left with dirty plates in your room overnight and you have privacy. The Sugar Reef is the resort's sports bar; it's a smaller space but has TVs with international sport and a pool table where you can spend time having fun. Rendezvous bar is a circular bar in the middle of the resort. There is often a live band or musician playing in the evening and this was our favourite place to stop by for a cocktail before dinner. Other comments: We stayed in a swim out suite, which we probably didn't use as much as we anticipated. This was hindered by the amount of mosquitos on the resort during our first week. The staff did a great job of spraying the greenery to minimise their presence and they also provided complimentary mosquito spray in your room. The amount of mosquitos was apparently unusually high due to the large amount of rainfall in Costa Mujeres in September so that's something to bear in mind depending on the time of year you expect to visit. Value for money: Overall, we absolutely think the resort is worth the money. It wasn't cheap, but it didn't feel cheap when we were there! If you want to enjoy being looked after by generous staff, eating great food, in beautiful surroundings, without children, then this resort is definitely for you.
