This really is a nice resort with amazing people taking care of you. Shout out to some that made our week fun... Axel, Del Mar, and Susana on the entertainment team. They are just the best and so much fun and enjoyable to chat with!! We also had some great servers by the pool... Leo took great care of us so wanted to mention him for sure. All in all, it is a great place to stay. We stayed here once before like 8 years ago and I remember the food being a little bit better then but no major complaints. If you don't get hung up on little things, you'll have a great time.

Secrets Resort - A diamond in the rough from my perspective
This trip was a blessing in disguise. We were originally booked to go to Jamaica, but Hurricane Melissa had other thoughts. Our travel agent, Bonnie Fox at TravelEnvy pulled an absolute rabbit out of her hat! At the last moment she got us air and accommodations to Cabo San Lucas Mexico staying at Secrets resort. What a beautiful experience we had! Property was super clean and safe. Staff was outstanding. Special shout-out to our newly adopted son Delmar. If you go, please make sure you meet Delmar. He is on the entertainment team and is fantastic at his job. He also spent some personal time with us giving us some insight to his background and upbringing in Mexico. Cant forget about Frankie who also was very dynamic and led a great water aerobics class. As mentioned everything exceeded our expectations. Only a couple of things to mention that need some help: 1. Do not allow people to eat nachos in the pool ( or any food for that matter). This is plain gross. 2. Our room A/C did not run while we were not in the room (understandable in Mexico). However the humidity got up to almost 77%, the room smelled musty and the sheets felt damp. 3. Don't have high expectations if you eat at the Market Cafe during the day. The food variety and quality is mediocre at best. However, in the evening they do have specialty suppers which were very good each time we tried them. Admittedly I was not very excited to go to Mexico for my vacation due to may different factors. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised with Cabo as well with Secrets. We will definitely go back.

Festive season
Here’s a polished, friendly, and helpful review you can post: ⸻ We stayed at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos over the festive weekend and overall had a great time. The weather was perfect every day and the sunrises were absolutely stunning. The hotel itself is a little outdated in some areas, but still comfortable and enjoyable. Because we were there during some festive dates in Mexico, it was nice to see the different events and activities they had planned. Halloween was okay for an adults-only resort, though the show felt more like a high school theater play and wasn’t very captivating. The Day of the Dead setup was beautiful—the decorations and food were really well done, we ate so much… the show wasn’t very that interesting for us… but maybe for others . On our last night, we originally planned a nice dinner, but when we heard there was a burlesque show, we decided to stay and watch—and we are so glad we did! It was honestly amazing. The singer was fantastic and the whole atmosphere was lively. The performers were truly professional and the guests were really into it. Definitely the entertainment highlight of our stay. Since we skipped dinner for the show, we ordered room service afterward, and it was surprisingly very good. Overall, it was a great long weekend getaway. Despite a few underwhelming shows, we really enjoyed our stay and the resort offered some memorable moments.

Perfect All Inclusive Long Weekend
Beautiful resort with top notch service. We enjoyed the pool each day. Plenty of space, but reserve your chairs early. The beach area is really cool. No chairs or swim area on the beach, but great views and the beach is walkable. Our room was clean and very spacious. We opted for the plunge pool right outside the room and it did not disappoint! Drinks were good. I recommend specifying the liquor you want used if you prefer top shelf. We tried 3 of the restaurants for dinner. Portofino was disappointing. Food was pretty bland and just not a great experience overall. Oceana was great. Ambience was really cool and the food was very good. Our best dinner was at El Patio. The food was fantastic and the service and atmosphere was as well.
