  Excellent Vacation at Secrets Tides- Punta Cana

  Beautiful resort, well kept with extremely friendly and attentive staff. Beach did have some sargasum, but they are constantly out cleaning it up. Great sandy beach for walking as far as you want to go

  Luxury Relaxation

  Absolutely Beautiful Resort with a Heavenly Spa — A Few Things to Know Before You Go! The aesthetic of this resort was absolutely stunning! Every detail was beautiful, and there was a wonderful selection of restaurants to enjoy throughout our stay. The rooms were gorgeous, the bathrooms were amazing, and the beds were incredibly comfortable with plenty of pillows. I also loved having speakers in the room that allowed us to connect our own music. Such a great little touch! The spa was absolute heaven! My only regret is that I didn’t visit sooner during our stay. If you’re planning a trip here, definitely make time for the spa early on. It was one of my favorite experiences! One thing I wish I had known beforehand was how much cash we would need for tipping. I wasn’t expecting to need cash everywhere we went at an all-inclusive resort. My advice is to bring plenty of small bills or have your cash exchanged before arriving, because getting smaller bills became a bit of a struggle. I would have loved an option to prepay gratuities, similar to what cruise lines offer. It would have made the experience much more convenient and relaxing. We upgraded to Preferred access, which included butler service. Since we were attending a wedding and had a pretty packed schedule, we unfortunately didn’t get much opportunity to take advantage of that perk. Something to consider when deciding whether the upgrade is worth it for your particular trip. The beach access was wonderful, and we really enjoyed that aspect of the resort. The only downside was the constant approach from vendors trying to sell things. I completely understand that everyone is trying to make a living, but having to repeatedly say no became a little frustrating, and a few vendors were more pushy than I would have liked. It occasionally took away from the peaceful beach experience. Overall, this is a truly beautiful resort with gorgeous accommodations, fantastic amenities, and a spa that I cannot recommend enough! With a few small improvements to the tipping experience and a little less pressure from beach vendors, it would be an even more relaxing getaway. I would absolutely recommend visiting, just come prepared with plenty of small bills and make that spa appointment early!

  Best Weekend Ever

  This was our second time visiting this resort. This time we had our wedding here and it was a 10/10 experience. Glyami, our wedding planner, is THE BEST. Our butler, Luis, was phenomenal. Such a great place for couples, friends and even older adults (my 84 year old grandfather loved it)

  Secrets Tides Punta Cana – A Wonderful Resort We’d Absolutely Return To!

  We recently returned from seven nights at Secrets Tides Punta Cana, and I have to say, we really enjoyed this resort! We’ve stayed at several luxury all-inclusive properties, including Impression Moxché and Secrets Cap Cana, and Secrets Tides definitely holds its own. We thought the overall experience was nearly perfect, although we’ve had slightly better food elsewhere (yep, UNICO 20°87°). The resort itself is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are immaculate, the landscaping is gorgeous, and everything feels modern and upscale. We stayed in a Preferred Club Junior Suite Tropical View King, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. I was hoping for an upgrade based on my Hyatt status, but no luck there! LOL. While I’d probably choose a better view next time, we loved the room, especially the Bluetooth ceiling speakers and the balcony Jacuzzi. Now, the beach! I’m a beach person through and through, and Secrets Tides did not disappoint. The beach was beautiful, with plenty of loungers and no issues finding a spot. I especially want to recognize the beach maintenance staff, who worked tirelessly every morning removing seaweed and keeping the beach clean. Their efforts definitely didn’t go unnoticed! The pools looked great too, but we spent most of our days at the beach. One of the biggest surprises was the quality of the cocktails! Anyone who frequents all-inclusive resorts knows drinks can be hit or miss, sometimes overly sweet, watered down, or with that strange artificial aftertaste. NONE of that here! Granted, I primarily drank at the Preferred Club bars, but the cocktails were consistently well-balanced, made with quality ingredients and actual liquor. And they certainly weren’t stingy with the pours! LOL. The Hennessy Sidecars, Brugal Extra Viejo rum Old Fashioneds, classic daiquiris, and passion fruit margaritas were all excellent. Special shout-outs to Miguel, Juan C., Felix (Preferred Club reception and pool bar), and Viktor (Preferred Club lounge) for keeping those drinks coming! We also enjoyed the mojito and margarita-making class, and the bartender hosting it did a fantastic job. Food was very good overall, with a few standouts. Tierra and Seaside Grill were our favorites. The mixed grill, empanadas, and ribs at Tierra were delicious, and Alexandra, our waitress, was incredibly personable and engaging. Seaside Grill was outstanding! We also enjoyed Meraki, especially the sushi and desserts. Special thanks to Luis and Yordani during our teppanyaki experience. Oceana was a little inconsistent. The lobster pasta was underwhelming, but the salmon with risotto was excellent! Portofino was good, especially the pork belly, although the risottos weren’t our favorites. El Patio was probably our least favorite, mainly because some dishes lacked the proper temperature and texture. On the other hand, the buffet was surprisingly good for both breakfast and lunch, and we loved having the food truck as another casual option. Overall, far more hits than misses when it came to dining. We also appreciated the variety of daily activities. The resort actually offers things people WANT to participate in! Special shout-out to Gregory from entertainment. My only suggestion would be to provide more seating for popular activities or indicate participation limits on the daily itinerary so guests can plan accordingly. Service was generally very good, and I also want to recognize Jhon at Coco Café and Sandy at the Preferred Club Oceana restaurant. These guys, along with the bartenders and restaurant staff, really helped make our stay enjoyable. Now, my biggest disappointment was the Preferred Club experience. While we loved the room and premium cocktails, I honestly didn’t feel the upgrade justified the additional cost. There appeared to be little effort to verify whether guests accessing Preferred Club areas actually belonged there. I understand Secrets doesn’t use wristbands, which I personally don’t get, but if you’re marketing exclusive spaces, there should be some way to maintain that exclusivity. Otherwise, what’s the point of paying extra? The butler service also wasn’t particularly useful for us. We tend to handle things ourselves because it’s usually faster. That said, our butler, Jeury, was very pleasant and deserves credit for a thoughtful gesture on our departure morning. Knowing we had an early checkout, he arranged breakfast and champagne for mimosas in our room. Such a nice way to end our vacation! To be clear, my criticism is with the Preferred Club program itself, not the employees. We’ve experienced premium club offerings at other luxury resorts that provide more tangible benefits and personalized service. If you’re upgrading primarily for a better room or specific amenities, Preferred Club might be worthwhile. Otherwise, I’d seriously consider saving the money. I also want to recognize Emerson, one of the resort managers, who personally took the time to meet with us regarding an issue with a complimentary transportation promotion that wasn’t honored with our booking. He genuinely seemed interested in making things right and ensuring we were enjoying our stay. I really appreciated his willingness to listen and address our concerns. Despite my criticism of Preferred Club, I don’t want that to overshadow how much we enjoyed Secrets Tides. The property is gorgeous, the beach is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful, the cocktails are exceptional, and the food is generally very good. Most importantly, the hardworking employees helped make this a wonderful vacation. Would we return? Absolutely! Secrets Tides gets so many things right, and with a few improvements to the Preferred Club experience, it could easily become one of our favorite all-inclusive resorts.

  Great getaway

  Fantastic place! Great staff and location. Rooms are amazing. There were a lot of newly weds too! Very diverse patrons. And the staff was so accommodating!
