I had a wonderful experience with the staff during my stay. Renardo, our waiter, and Okayto were both very pleasant, attentive, and made dining an enjoyable experience. Their friendliness and professionalism stood out. A special mention goes to Manager Jerfy Fernandez, who was truly exceptional. His leadership, attention to detail, and warm hospitality ensured that everything ran smoothly and that we felt well taken care of. I never seen a manger this hands on assisting his staff caring out their duties. Also Breathless Manager Radalfi Garcia showed us around the property so that we know which property to choose next visit for better preferred access with additional amenities. Overall, the service provided by the team exceeded expectations and made the stay even more memorable

Poorly manage, make you’re you bring along your personal wash cloth, as there is no guarantee you will be left with any after the house keeper retrieve the used towels, calling housekeeping nightly for replacement doesn’t help, Secrets Wild Orchid has deteriorated over the years, sad to see the state it’s in, the facility still looks good, employees are friendly but rooms are in poor shape, sinks are clogged, toilet seats are broken, and the list goes on. Being a UVC member doesn’t make a difference, this hotel rooms need to be upgraded ASAP

*Heads up. If, like me, you bring cash as Jamaican dollars, you can't change them into smaller denominations. I only have $1000 Jamaican dollar notes. I asked reception if they can break them down? No was the answer. I normally tip as i go along. I will alter that to tip at the end. In the long run it will probably be the hard working staff who will lose out.

Honeymoon
Went recently for honeymoon. If you’re used to all inclusive resorts then this one is pretty standard to what you will find. Staff all were friendly, welcoming and attentive. If you are able to upgrade to the Preferred Club, it’s worth it. Having the butler service is a great addition. Out butlers Davion and Andre were the best. They were attentive and made sure we enjoyed our stay the way we wanted to. Another plus we enjoyed from the Preferred Club was having access to the sister property. Giving 4 and not 5 starts because I was underwhelmed with the variety of night time entertainment. The entertainment crew were great and you can tell they live what they do and worked hard; I was just hoping for more interactive types of nighttime entertainment.

Marijuana is ruining Jamaica
The legalization of marijuana in Jamaica causes a circus like atmosphere and many people were loud and obnoxious and had no respect for other peoples privacy or personal space. Hyatt needs to do a better job of securing there premises from a bad element and running good paying customers off. I will give Hyatt another chance, however it will be a cold day in hell before I ever go back to Jamaica.
