    Steady decline in cleanliness

    We have noticed a steady decline within the last 3 years.The unit was very dirty and not maintained well. The sofas and chairs were stained and smelly. The bathroom had mold and stains in the sinks . We had to ask for a clean coffee maker. Overall condition and maintenance was very poor. There are not many affordable dining options for the evening meals. HDM does have excellent staff.

    Boring and Expensive

    We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, that unfortunately smelled like urine the entire time. It was so bad I couldn't sleep. The staff don't all speak English, and when I asked if they could do something about the smell, a man showed up several hours later with a ladder. The activities listed didn't actually occur. On several occasions the restaurants/clubs just weren't open, or no one was in there. The resort is too far away from anything to walk. So we spent a lot of time and $ on Ubers. The all inclusive fees would have been about $720 for a family of 4 per day, and without them, the costs were still outrageous. $150 breakfast for 4 people before tip. $58 for two drinks by the pool. The pools and gym were nice though. The most boring, expensive location I've ever stayed at. Would not recommend.

    Great as always

    This was the 5th time for my wife and I visiting this resort. As usual the rooms were great, and the grounds were beautiful. We had a special dinner for our 50th anniversary, and it was delicious.
