  NOT GREAT

  We came for my husband ls 50 b day , thinking that this resort woukd be amazing , not !! Very disappointed with the quality of the food on the resort , the rooms are basic and moldy. Air conditioned didn't work half the time , trying to get things fixed took 4 calls at 11 pm The entertainment, omg !! HORRIBLE!!!! Even cuba has better entertainment Not enough seats to handle the guest Buffet is ridiculous, u have to scan to go in , so many issuses , they need to get onto of things , people have to wait to be , then have to wait forever to order or get food Staff are very under staffed and disorganized, things could run alot better if they had proper people and staff to run things, to many bosses and not enough help I would rather spend my money back going to Jamaica and Dominican, better service , friendlier people and better food and restaurants, and better prices Even tipping doesn't help , it's like they don't care, it's more of a older age resort Pool games horrible, very very disappointed Oct 5-12

  A Dream Vacation at Sonesta Maho!

  🌴 Review for Sonesta Maho Beach Resort 🌴 I stayed at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort for 5 nights, all-inclusive, and honestly — it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was delicious with so much variety every day, the cocktails were excellent, and the entertainment every evening made the atmosphere truly vibrant. The hotel is perfectly located right by the beach, with a stunning view of the planes landing — a unique and unforgettable experience! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything was organized to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Without a doubt, this is the best resort in Saint Martin. If you’re planning a trip to the island, don’t hesitate for a second — come to Sonesta Maho! You’ll be treated with kindness, you’ll eat well, and you’ll leave with incredible memories. I can’t wait to come back! 💙✈️☀️

  Disappointing Stay – Did Not Meet Expectations

  We arrived at the Sonesta Resort on August 8th for a short stay, hoping to relax after a wonderful and activity-filled vacation elsewhere on the island. Our previous accommodation was not all-inclusive, but we had an amazing time there. Given that I work at a 5-star resort in my own country, I came to Sonesta with high expectations for service and hospitality. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short. Upon arrival, the lobby was completely empty no staff to greet us, no sign of a welcome. I eventually flagged down a passing staff member, who turned out to be a bellhop. He had to go to the back office to find a front desk agent to assist with check-in. When the agent arrived, the first question she asked was, "What room category did you book?" I was taken aback, expecting she would already have our details in the system. I pulled up my confirmation email, but she brushed it off and said that since we were only staying for a short time, she would upgrade us to a room on the 10th floor. Without further explanation or a proper welcome, she handed us an envelope, pointed us to the elevators, and returned to the back office. No greeting, no warmth, and no welcome drink none of the touches you'd expect from a resort of this caliber. I saw the same bellhop again and asked for help with our bags. He told us to head to the room and that the bags would follow. We had to specifically ask him to show us where the room was. Given the size of the property and the number of guests, this lack of guidance was quite frustrating. The check-in process was disappointing, and sadly, the departure experience wasn’t any better. Throughout our stay, the staff seemed indifferent and uncaring. I’m not sure if it was a staffing issue or something else, but the lack of professionalism was glaring. I even wondered if their treatment was influenced by the assumption that we were locals, which made the experience even more disheartening. Food and drink was a 5/10 I’d recommend sticking to the buffet. I ended up in tears that evening what I hoped would be a relaxing and memorable end to our trip turned into a major letdown.

  An amazing Experience

  We loved everything about the resort. We're looking forward to returning with more family members. The All-inclusive restaurants was the best, with the cozy pool view rooms. The air conditioner was amazing. One of the staff with Management Angela asked me how was my stay, and that really made me feel like the resort was a must return on my bucket list.

  The choice of food is good and taste good too, the room is very spacious and it was kept very clean during our 7-day stay at Sonesta Beach Resort & Spa, Maho. There were activities and live entertainment which we enjoyed. Service was also good. The only low for us was that the AC did not work well and made our room very uncomfortable. We reported it twice, the maintenance guy and checked it out initially and told us that one of the chillers was down. The problem was not solved for us to enjoy our stay completely, we thought it would be fixed but we ended up spending half of our stay with this issue not being resolved and the resort lost points for this big time! So it really a 3.5 for us and this was our 1st time here.
