Aug 22, 2025An unforgettable mother daughter trip
I went with my mom to Sonesta Ocean point for her 80th birthday and her retirement. We stayed at the adults only and I highly recommend that if you do not have a family if you’re looking for more of a private vacation. I reached out to the staff ahead of time and when we went into our room, they had decorated it with balloons and desserts. That said happy retirement. It was just amazing. I know people think that all inclusive resort is not as high-end as others… Dot, our stay here was five star all around. The food was unreal. We went to the Azul for dinner. The fillet that we had was like in New York steak. My mom is allergic to shellfish and every waiter or waitress that and reassured her she would not have any worries. Janelle was amazing every single time we were there. There are so many people at the resort that really made a difference and they were genuine. I do a lot of traveling and I cannot say enough about the staff and the resort. I am sure I have forgot someone and I do apologize, but here are a few of the staff that really shined. Justinein the front she was brilliant and guided us for things to see and just a pleasure to talk to every day. Brianna, she checked us in and was so informative and gave us a lay of the land and any questions we had the week we were there, she answered. Carol was at the upstairs pool bar and she is a character and made us laugh every single day she gave a little extra just to get to know get to know my mom and I. Henry every morning we would get an umbrella two chairs to sit on the beach although you did not have to pay we made sure that we tipped him because he was so attentive to my mother making sure that we had an umbrella. I just want to thank everyone at Sonesta for for making our mother daughter experience unforgettable. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone cheers and happy travels. And thank you again for everyone at the resort.

Honeymooners
This was an incredible place for our honeymoon. Everything was clean even our pool, the staff was beyond helpful and friendly, room was restocked and cleaned spotless. Just 11111111/10 amazing !!!

Beautiful Adult Only Resort; Wonderful Staff
My boyfriend and I just returned from a six day stay at Sonesta Ocean Point. This resort exceeded our expectations! The property is kept so clean. Our room located on the 4th floor was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning and rain shower head. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean…just gorgeous! We were very happy with the food. We had dinner once at Portifino and had afternoon snack/lunch at Bluefin. Every other meal was at Azul. This beautiful restaurant was glass enclosed and overlooking the ocean. We loved lingering over breakfast (both a small buffet and a la carte.menu). We also ate dinners here as the menu changes daily. We also enjoyed coffee, sweets, and drinks at Carmen’s Cafe in the lobby. The pool area was clean. Loungers had very comfortable pillow/liners. There were also many umbrellas for shade. There is also a rooftop lounge at night. We enjoyed walking down to the end of Maho beach to watch the planes land as you could almost touch them. I know this is off season, but it seemed the resort was rather empty. There were always chairs available by the pool and no wait for restaurants. Guests of Ocean Point have access to all restaurants, pools, entertainment, etc on the family side of the resort (Sonesta Maho), but we found that side to be extremely crowded, loud, and quality of food was not nearly as appetizing as the adult side (we did walk through the buffet one night). We loved that just steps outside the hotel is Maho Village with casino, bars, stores, and restaurants. We also had a couples massage at the Maho Spa. It was wonderful! Very clean, modern, and the quality of service was excellent. What would the resort be without the amazing staff??? We found EVERYONE to be so friendly and kind and helpful…front desk, housekeeping, servers, bartenders, etc. We want to shout out George (bellman), Justine and Dainty (front desk), Fantasia and Janeall (Azul restaurant), Sheryl (pool bartender). I could go on and on. This staff is truly so wonderful! We wanted Rest and Relaxation in a beautiful environment and that’s exactly what we got. We will absolutely return here.

The following emplouess showed super customer service; Kathiana F&b service,Paul bar supervisor,Carlos Bar Supervisor,Jenna F&B services,Carole Barry Bar manager, Bethany mini bar attendant, Kalula F&B service, and Allan front desk OP. They really made our stay worth it.

Hidden Gem
Sonesta Ocean Point is an amazing all inclusive adults only resort. This playing is amazing. Our second week long visit and both stays were immaculate. The food is outstanding, the views from the room as well as the restaurants were breathtaking. All of the staff throughout the resort were great! We really enjoyed our meals with hospitality provided by Matiline, Nichole, Dominique, and Jenneal. Thank you Sonesta for another great getaway!
