    This charming and convenient all-day Maho Café located in the lobby offers an array of morning and afternoon pick-me-ups including herbal teas, coffees, fresh pastries, and snacks including hot and cold sandwiches.

    Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Ocean Terrace offers a wide variety of buffet items including hot and cold dishes, soups, fresh fruits and salads, a made-to-order omelet station as well as culinary theme nights throughout the week.     Royal Treatment!

    My wife and I vacationed at Ocean Point for our anniversary and by far, our trip was made from the service of the staff! I want to recognize 3 individuals in particular.. Jonathan aka Smiley for impeccable room service, Janeal (waitress)whom has family in CT and has just gotten 2 bunnies, and Saskia (waitress) whom possessed such a positive attitude during every interaction! It’s well known that St. Maarten is a beautiful island, but the staff at the resort iced the cake for our stay!! So for us, 5 star review, beautiful setting, beautiful room, but the staff was fantastic. I didn’t at any point feel neglected, nor unsafe with ample security also. Thank you for a great trip!

    Exceeded expectations

    This was our first trip and stay with Sonesta and we were pleasantly surprised with this resort. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. We had booked our room for an anniversary celebration, and the hotel decorated our room with gold balloons, leaving us cookies and champagne, which was a very nice touch. The suite was very large, clean and nicely appointed. Our balcony had a lovely ocean view along with the entertaining overlook of the famous airport runway. It was fun watching the planes come and go. It was not noisy or disturbing in any way. The staff here was friendly and efficient. The grounds are lovely and all restaurants had ocean views. Given that this is an all-inclusive resort we were thankful for the many choices and quality of most meals. Alcohol was available at all the many bars throughout the resort and by the pools. We cannot say enough good things about our stay and our experience was well worth the price.

    Shoutout to the massage therapists!

    Flores and Petrona gave us massages at the beach side spa site and wow was it amazing! The ladies were both extremely friendly, welcoming, and made our experience so wonderful. Flores was so kind and listened to the request for areas of focus, and Petrona made sure to check multiple times throughout the massage to be sure the pressure was right. We are so happy we had this special experience with these beautiful massage therapists!

    Wonderful St Maarten Resort

    My wife and I booked this resort through our local AAA and our travel advisor recommended this property for a weeks stay. It was everything we could've wanted in a weeks vacation. Excellent restaurants on site, and servers and staff that are there to please. We secured a Junior Suite Swim-out room, and it was wonderful. You basically could swim out from your back patio to a pool that wrapped around that section of ground floor rooms. 24/7 room service provided excellent service throughout our stay although we mainly used it for breakfast only, with an occasional order of a late night snack before going to bed. Two things to mention that were somewhat negative during our stay was that during a few morning breakfast trips to the Azul restaurant, we noticed more than a few of the local birds getting on the tables to eat whatever was leftover before the table was cleaned, and also leaving a few droppings along the way. I'm not a clean freak per say, but I would think this isn't exactly a good thing, but Azul is primarily an open air restaurant, so an occasional bird is going to gain access. Although the room daily housekeeping service was exceptional, with many kind and dedicated people providing this service, I have to warn anybody that gets Room 107 that the room adjacent to this room is used by the housekeeping staff, to store extra cleaning supplies. Every morning between 7 to 7:30am we would get woken up by the housekeeping staff moving cleaning carts, and banging of mops, brooms, and other things utilized by the staff. But the worst part was that because the bedroom had a wall that was paper thin right next to this supply room, we would hear a lot of loud talking, laughing, and other noises to wake us to our day. This could go on for 10-15 minutes on average, so by the time they left we were wide awake whether we wanted to be or not.
