Stayed at Sonesta ocean Resort with 13 of my girlfriends. If they can make 14 women happy, they must be doing something right! Every room has a beautiful ocean view. Staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Anything we could have possibly needed or wanted was accommodated without hesitation and always with a smile. Have to give Kemar a shoutout, throughout our entire stay he went out of his way to say hello (with that fantastic smile), ask if we needed anything, and took pics when we asked. Thank you for everything!

The view from Sonesta Ocean Point is undoubtably the selling point for this resort, and unfortunately, that is the highest praise that I can give. If you are a beach person, this may not be the resort for you. The beach (public) is accessible from the property, however, the beach is rough and not very inviting. The food was just ok...really nothing to write home about and the drinks were average...the selection of spirits is vast, but the mixology is to be desired. The views from AZUL are UNMATCHED, which made the stay that much more pleasurable. The room was spacious; however, the bed was not to our liking...way too firm! Two (2) of the 4 nights were spent on the sofa. Room service was prompt and hot...we enjoyed room service more than some of the food options that we encountered. To be fair, we did not dine at Maho (family side) therefore, we cannot rate the food there. We found that many of the staff were not the friendliest; however, Shamiria and Valencia were SUPER friendly and courteous during our check out process. Check out was easy and both ladies provided assistance in the storage of our luggage. We did like the location of the resort, as it was easy to exit and enter, and was close to the airport and other dining and lounge options. I would recommend this resort for relaxation, as it does not have a big party vibe, and definitely for the views.

Royal Treatment!
My wife and I vacationed at Ocean Point for our anniversary and by far, our trip was made from the service of the staff! I want to recognize 3 individuals in particular.. Jonathan aka Smiley for impeccable room service, Janeal (waitress)whom has family in CT and has just gotten 2 bunnies, and Saskia (waitress) whom possessed such a positive attitude during every interaction! It’s well known that St. Maarten is a beautiful island, but the staff at the resort iced the cake for our stay!! So for us, 5 star review, beautiful setting, beautiful room, but the staff was fantastic. I didn’t at any point feel neglected, nor unsafe with ample security also. Thank you for a great trip!

Exceeded expectations
This was our first trip and stay with Sonesta and we were pleasantly surprised with this resort. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. We had booked our room for an anniversary celebration, and the hotel decorated our room with gold balloons, leaving us cookies and champagne, which was a very nice touch. The suite was very large, clean and nicely appointed. Our balcony had a lovely ocean view along with the entertaining overlook of the famous airport runway. It was fun watching the planes come and go. It was not noisy or disturbing in any way. The staff here was friendly and efficient. The grounds are lovely and all restaurants had ocean views. Given that this is an all-inclusive resort we were thankful for the many choices and quality of most meals. Alcohol was available at all the many bars throughout the resort and by the pools. We cannot say enough good things about our stay and our experience was well worth the price.
