  Disappointing experience.

  Food was sub-par, staff was on vacation too I think and not very attentive, the main pool was dirty and the disco was closed with no alternative!

  Mis informed

  Presently here now, website is very misleading, no adult pools not fine liquors or hot and cold hors dOeuvres in sun club, no newspaper in your room daily, saw glasses we drank from water in them put back on a tray then taken by waitress and glasses were then filled with beer. Also the chopstick restaurant was infested with flies. The maids do a great job of cleaning your room, drinks were sub par, à la cartes were okay. The buffet was the best. We booked based on info from the site children in pool bar area, actually toddlers in swim ups sitting on the bar. Not enough staff so service was slow,

  Great vacation experience at Sunscape CoCo

  I travelled with my husband and we had a great experience at Sunscape CoCo. If there was a 4.5 star I would have chosen that. We arrived around 2pm ( before 3pm check-in) and it went smoothly. We had booked the private drive from the airport and after talking to other people, we had made a good choice. We chose Sun Club, so check-in is not done in the main lobby but a smaller office to the left in building 2. Our luggage was brought to this building and put in a room until our room was ready. We were on the fourth floor in building one with a view of the pool. The halls are beautiful with wood trim and large numbers, plenty of light. Our room was clean, had a mishmash of furniture, a comfortable king bed,desk,chair(broken so we had it exchanged),coffee table and a strange low chaise/mini bed. The room is spacious with a sliding door to a private balcony. I didn't have a luggage rack so I used the metal coffee table and lay out my clothes on the ironing board for the week. My husband hung a few things in the closet,there are a few cubby holes in there too. Flat screen TV, coffee maker(didn't use). The layout of the room has the bed beside the open concept bathroom that took a day or two to get used to. There is a frosted glass closed-in toilet, frosted glass shower ( very good) and a jetted tub (did not try) The sink area was small but adequate. They supplied, body wash,shampoo and body lotion in large dispensers. We had plenty of towels,face cloths, hand towels and a bath mat. We used the safe that was easy to use. We spent most of our time at the beach that was nice. There was sargassum most days but it was not smelly and continuously cleaned up. This didn't bother me as it is a natural occurrence. Even though there are signs saying not to reserve lounge chairs people still did it. We observed that if you asked for assistance they would find you a chair and help get you a spot. Everything was convenient to get to, the washrooms, multiple bars, life guard in the middle, hut to sign out beach towels. The food was good for us, we appreciate good food but are not picky. We went to three a la carte restaurants (our favourite was the Italian) ultimately we liked the Sun club buffet at Kaleidoscope and only ate there. The seating for meals is the most chaotic part. We found that if you are there for the opening it is a great experience but after that we needed to ask for glasses, cutlery etc. Maybe they don't have enough and have to wait for them to be washed? We had a wonderful waiter, Martin, at Kaleidoscope, a lovely man with a great smile every day! We enjoyed getting a coffee at the CoCo cafe,lovely ladies. We didn't get many snacks but food always seemed to be available. I walked around the entire resort, there are 17 buildings, mostly three floors. There are plenty of pools of varies sizes throughout the property. It looks very child friendly with plenty of designated areas for them. wading pool, small water feature and a dry play area from what I saw. There are a few pool tables, lobby areas, and a gym (I didn't go in) There was a grand piano in the lobby that wasn't used unfortunately, it would have been a nice touch for the evening. The entertainment was average, sorry! I noticed some rumba classes that people enjoyed during the day. The spa offered a few services as the facility was being renovated (hydrotherapy circuit). I think they relocated the massages down to the beach, I ultimately decided not to try anything. There was a wedding while we were there and it looked very well done. I saw the wedding arch beach setup, the reception area and the bride and groom getting photos taken on one of the bridges, lovely! We enjoyed our stay, and returning is definitely a possibility!

  Poor Cleanliness

  Overall hotel is a 3 star. Entertainment staff was great, food was good. Hotel cleanliness was poor. Saw a few cock roaches and we had a condom in our bed after it was made. Issue still hasn’t been resolved.

  The only thing good was the servers on the beach Buffet service was slow and basically non existence Apps gave wrong opening times for all restaurants Very disappointed there was no adult pool and no children allowed at the upgraded buffet Kaleidescope for breakfast and lunch. This was a change Sunscape did after we booked our trip Took our upgrade fee of $500 and ran with it. Will never go here again
