Nothing fancy, but better than expected.
This is not a fancy resort and it's definitely due for a refresh, but the beach is lovely, albeit short on palapas. The no-reserve à la carte restaurant setup was a pain, but the off-resort options more than made up for that, and there are several to choose from within a short walk. The food at the buffet is nicely prepared, but limited in options and definitely repetitive. The menu at the seaside grill doesn't seem to change at lunchtime either. The catch of the day is always mahi mahi and depending on the chef of the day, you might want to ask the server to tell him to go easy on the fish and the burgers, or you might get a very well-done piece of protein. The staff is friendly and professional, but definitely move at island speed. Just a little more hustle would make a big improvement in several areas. I will say that Annisha was the exception to the norm here. She was very helpful and quick and crisp in answering all of our questions. We upgraded to the "Sun Club," but I don't think it's worth it. There is no one enforcing the "privileged" areas, so short of the quicker check-in, it's hard to see the value. Anyone who can't live without Internet connectivity, should consider a different island altogether. The WiFi at the hotel is clunky and slow almost everywhere. Sadly, my eSIM wasn't much better. I think the general e-infrastructure is just way behind demand. Any inconvenience or frustration is quickly forgotten within a few minutes of going snorkeling. The variety and colours of the fish along the breakwater are extraordinary. The outside of the wall has even more to offer, but the swells insist on the buddy system and stronger swimmers. Our friends who went SCUBA diving raved about their experiences. The proximity of the resort to Willemstad is a plus. It's a bustling city with beautiful architecture and more to offer than some other island capitals. A quick, easy trip on local transit gets you downtown for US$2. We felt safe, even well into the evening, and off the beaten path. Do get a restaurant recommendation, though as winging it can lead to disappointment. After the first two/three days, I thought this island and resort were a checked item on the bucket list. By day four, I had changed my mind. I would go back to both.

Staff amazing
The staff is just amazing. The hotel is a little outdated but I love the charm of the place and the MC's are just amazing. I have to give a shout out to Crazy G, Breezy, Netisha and candy man. Crazy g and Breezy really made my experience just so much better 👌

Beautiful beach, comfortable accommodations and good food - for a GREAT PRICE!
If you're looking for luxury, don't book here. If you are looking for a beautiful beach, amazing snorkeling, friendly staff, a comfortable place to sleep and good food to eat - this is your place! For the price, this is an amazing resort! Beach is a bit rocky in some spots, but once you're in, you're golden! No reservations required at the a-la-carte restaurants, just make sure you are there about 15-30 minutes prior to opening time, the lines get long. In our opinion, the Sun Club was NOT worth the upgrade. there was nothing to identify Sun Club guests (this may have changed now), everyone was in the Sun Club pool, ordering from the Sun Club bar, and check-in took longer at Sun Club lounge than it did for guests who arrived at the same time as us and signed in at the regular check-in counter.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Worst vacation of my entire life!!! I read the reviews and told myself that it would be fine, please do not make the same mistake as we did. My Wife and I came here on our Honeymoon. When we arrived, our room was not ready. After an hour of waiting they said our room was ready - it was not a sun club room (we paid extra to be in the sun club). Outside of that - the food at the restaurants is very bad, and takes a tremendous amount of time. We waited an hour and a half for our food at the sun club breakfast and ended up just leaving since our food never arrived. Stopped by the towel hut multiple times and they did not have any. The last straw were the 6 roaches that we found in our room coming in through the 2 inch gap under our door as well as the gaps in between the windows. They did not switch our room and instead sent someone with a broom to get them. To recap - Bad service, Bad food, Subpar AC, Roaches all over room, No towels. We traveled 12 hours to get here for our 5 day stay, ended up heading home after 48 hours. Hyatt, you should be ashamed to have your name on this resort. This place is an absolute disaster.

Sunscape family vacation
Tile floors are very slippery. No wet floor sign outside of 7000 building. They had hosed it down and I slipped and broke my toe. The safe was broken in my room. Security came 6 times to to reset and replace the batteries. They said they would replace it and never did. Had to carry my valuables around. Beach is great, food was good and the staff work hard here. Management could do a better job addressing issues.
