Amazing trip, saw tons of sealife, starfish, and ended with a relaxing wade in the weakest of waters. Provided great snacks, delicious ceviche, and ice cold refreshments. Armando and Ariel were wonderful guides, very attentive, and a pleasure in all aspects!

The resort creates the place, but the people make the experience
We stayed at the Explorean for our 10 year wedding anniversary/ honeymoon and it was amazing. The resort itself was quiet and very nice. We really appreciated the ability to bounce back and forth between Explorean and Fiesta Americana for the night time activities and the restaurants. The coffee steak at El Mexicano was incredible, and Everything we had at Rosato was great as well. Our Waiter, Manuel, went above and beyond to make sure that our experience would be remembered for years to come. And last but definitely not least was the team at the Explorean that made our trip one that we think about constantly and one that we cannot wait to come back. Saidy always made us feel welcome, and taken care of with dinners and many other things. Manny was always there, and always smiling, and as they say, smiling is contagious! Isabel and Gabriel, they made us laugh, welcomed us as family, and went above and beyond what we could have ever expected. There are many people behind the scenes that contributed as well, but these 5 named here deserve to be recognized since they are all on our minds as i write this review months later. We cannot wait to come back and see our second family again!!

Amazing time in the jungle and on the water
We had an amazing trip to the Explorean. Definitely recommend staying at the Explorean rather than Fiesta Americana as its quiet and tucked in the jungle, while you still get to use all of Fiesta Americanas features. Late September is rainy season so it was rainy in the mornings but beautiful in the afternoons. Bring bug spray. All inclusive means food, beverage (including alcohol) and best of all, the excursions. Ariel, Vega, and Armando were our guides for most of our excursions ranging from snorkeling to bike riding to cultural tours and sandy beaches. They were so wonderful and knowledgable with very good English. My favorite was the boat ride and snorkel tour to El Cielo where we saw sea stars and rays. The Lol Kan was our go to for restaurants as we generally don’t love a buffet which is most of what is found at fiesta americana. The food is prepared fresh at Lol Kan with wonderful service and tasty options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I also noted that the water served is all from bottled sources as well as the ice so no fear there. We also really liked the Mexican restaurant for dinner near the ocean which requires reservations. Our favorite spot was the chairs sitting over the water where you can enjoy a beverage and a relax and a swim, my heart will be missing that spot for months to come.

Snorkeling in Cozumel- Explorean Resort.
The snorkeling around Cozumel is world class just like the trip staff at the Explorean. Armando and Vega were attentive and patient and made sure that everyone were instructed and taken care of. Instructions were in Spanish and English. The other members of the group from all over the world were also great. We saw a variety of fish, rays and starfish. Give it a try different and no too challenging physically.
