Jul 02, 2025Anything but a luxury experience
So many mixed feelings. But there were signs very early on it would not be what was promised. The private transfer driver grunted at pick up and did not even offer to help with the bags - 95$ for that. Paid 6000$ for a week in the luxury suites - what a scam. They are promoted at relaxing and calm but anything but! The entry door is beautiful but cheap - like the rooms themselves. No insulation so you hear everything. First 3 nights loud parties everywhere until 1 or 2 in the morning - impossible to sleep!!!! Complained and excuses and passing the blame from the hotel director - who seems oblivious that noise travels and he advertises calm but it’s just loud and unbearable. The one highlight was breakfast with Jarry - her smile and thoughtfulness was so welcoming!!! She is amazing! Jonathan our concierge has a tough job trying to appease all of us who were robbed by the hotel. Cherry on the cake with this hotel - they are building more rooms right behind the suits and construction is everyday all day - so if you think a nap is possible to make up for the lost sleep it isn’t. The staff seems completely unbothered or maybe just tired of the complaints - but they need to advertise their product for what is is - pretty rooms for party people but do not stay here if you want sleep and relaxation because that is impossible!!!!

Jun 17, 2025Forget a cancellation Policy, more like a robbery
I booked a $4,519 stay at Kontiki Beach Resort and had to cancel the very next day due to an emergency visa issue with my fiancé. I didn’t ask for a refund—just a credit for future use, which they initially provided. Despite ongoing communication and explaining our immigration delay, they eventually revoked the credit. This was not a last-minute cancellation; they suffered no financial loss and still chose to treat us with inflexibility and disregard. Their handling of the situation was deeply disappointing—cold, unethical, and far from what you’d expect from a resort claiming to value hospitality. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere in Curaçao. Baoase Luxury Resort is a far better choice where you’re likely to be treated with the respect every guest deserves.

Horrible Cancellation Policy.
Had a family emergency and begged to get a refund or even some sort of a partial credit towards the total paid to my room and the resort refused. I would not recommend as life happens sometimes and the hotel will infact not work with you or accommodate you in anyway. Hotel standard is typically one night charged. Not this place!

If you want to rest is not a place to go
An abusive hotel In every sense. They took 500 usd as a deposit. It has been 10 days and have not been refunded. The noise at night is unbearable. There are parties at the property with super high music volume that makes Impossible to rest. The staff is undetrained they keep Forgetting Thina. Example They brought room Service and forgot the plates and cutlery in the restaurant they forgot our order twice. This hotel Has serious management issues.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kontiki! We highly recommend the attentive staff, the complimentary amenities in the rooms like capsule coffee, bathroom toiletries, beach towel changes, daily housekeeping, and more. We also loved the saltwater pools, which are seamlessly integrated between the bungalows, as well as the direct beach access and the option to use the resort's palapas for free. We would recommend including more local dishes, because we found the menus to be too international, lacking in island flavors. On the other hand, the prices for food and drinks seemed a bit high, although they were in line with average prices for the Mambo Beach area. We also enjoyed some entertainment for guests, such as games, dancing, karaoke, and more, in addition to the happy hours, which we did enjoy.
