Fabulous Getaway - Sharon E
My stay at the Paradisus Palma Real Resort was a place to remember, beautiful surroundings and friendly staff. Superior Service received from the concierge Basilio whom was very knowledgeable, attentive and cordial. It was such a pleasure dealing with him. He helped make our vacation experience very special.

Refresh, Relax, Refocus it’s all about the people
Let me start this resort is nice but what makes it 5 stars is the people. Nearly everyone we came across made us fell welcome and special. Thank you. These folks come to work each day with a smile and mindset to genuinely take service and caring of their guest the number 1 priority. It was humbling and a great example for me personally. My wife and I stayed on the adult side Reserve which is quiet and relaxing. All three adult pools are nice, clean and there were plenty of places to sit both cabana or chairs with umbrellas. Reserve is worth the upgrade for the concierge: (Cristian your genuine desire to make our trip special blew us away you took care of more than we could have asked! Basilio thank you getting us to our room and reaching out later in the week was a bright spot), reserve beach clean nice and water & w/private watering hole (Pedro, Gilberto, Yeurdi welcoming everyday, mi hermanos) plus two extra adult quiet pools in addition to large adult pool with swimup and on top of all this Sante restaurants for breakfast, lunch and or dinner are part of Reserve experience. Restaurants are good not five star but good particularly liked Sante, Blue Agave, and Flora and the rum bar between Mina and Japanese place was cool: shout out to Miquel the ultimate mixologist who greeted us every night with a big smile and treated us like family. Sante is where we had breakfast and lunch everyday. Room again adult side reserved were clean, spacious and accommodating. We had garden view not sure pool view is worth extra cost only because everything is in close proximity. Again, the people make this place and I will list them because they need/deserve a heartfelt shoutout due to their work ethic and sincere efforts to make everyone’s’ stay memorable. Thank you: Cristian concierge Pedro, Gilbertoreserve beach Robindson spa Rosa and Luz (light) - Sante Basilio concierge Yeime, Fior and Glaydis spa Milton and Wilmina - Italian Hector out front Juan Barnelis Maria and Cesar - Sante Giancarlo and Miquel Mina Santo and Alexander from Blu Agave

Personalize the mini bar
This was one of my best Get aways. The staff was so attentive from the extraordinary service of the concierge to the young man (Franklin O) that made sure our mini fridge was personalized to our liking. The view food and staff made this a trip I will always remember

A stay in paradise
Paradisus is an amazing experience. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The hospitality is superb. Blue Agave restaurant is top notch and Delvin was the best waiter. Ariel was the best butler, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Paradise
Melia Paradisus Palma Real - April 11-18 2025 Booked through Costco Travel with Air Transat Vacations Flights: Air Transat was amazing and I (6'5") got the emergency exit for both legs (My wife as well). :) Transfer: Costco includes private transfer and what a treat. To pass a line of 150 people and go directly to a comfortable minivan that whisked us to the resort in 20 minutes. Wow! Garden view suite Reserved section Check in: super fast efficient and easy. We never touched our bags and they were delivered to our rooms immediately. Room service: Called at 11 pm and ordered a burger and Chicken nuggets. The burger was amazing and the nuggets were pure white meat but a bit doughy. Fries were warm. Food arrived in about 20 minutes. This resort is the closest I have come to a 5 star. Everything seemed classier and we felt like royalty. I contacted Alvaro Manuel at Reserved Guest Services before arriving and he ensured we had rooms on the second floor, that we were close to our friend who was travelling with us and that our first dinner reservation was made at Santé. He also made sure to come and see us during our stay and make sure we were happy. Our butler, Harry was superb. He was so refined and personable. He noticed every detail and ensured all our reservations were made, delivered a bucket of ice every evening (usually with a bottle of quite good Chilean Merlot). He was constantly in communication with us and sent us the reservation confirmation and the activity schedule every day. Such a pleasure. We will request him next time we stay at this resort. Every single staff member at this resort was amazing. So professional and helpful and there was NEVER and expectation for a tip (although we tried to tip for every meal and service). You get what you give. The resort is not too big and very walkable. Also very quiet and peaceful and well groomed. Beach: groomed twice a day with a giant net in the ocean keeping the seaweed out. Plenty of super comfortable beach beds with 8 inch mattresses. Servers will usually follow you to the bed you want and clean it off, than place towels down and ask you for your first drink order. No silly towel rules, just go up to the hut and take what you need. NEVER had a trouble finding a nice comfortable beach bed, even after 10am. Drinks: Bars are everywhere and getting service is never an issue. Ginger bar in the lobby does amazing coffees and specialty drinks. In the evening at the plaza there is a Mojito cart which does hand crafted specialty mojitos. The resorts frozen Pina Coladas are made with real pineapple and coconut. Snack and drinks in room: the guys who replenish the room are great. Beer choice is Presidenté, Coors lite, Heiniken and Corona. Pop is Coke, Diet Coke or Sprite. Jus is orange or apple. Lots of still water and Perrier too. Nespresso coffee maker in room. Beach bags are very plush and include flip flops (not big enough for my size 16 feet). Food: loved every restaurant but our favorite was Flora. Such a chill vibe and the food was amazing. Japanese was fun but the food is nothing special. Since we were Reserve, we went to Santé many times for breakfast and lunch. Both were excellent (omelettes, cappuccinos, fruit smoothies and much more). Lunch seemed to feature seafood like lobster, scallops, shrimp, etc and frequently and amazing beef tenderloin. Taco bar day was my favourite. The buffet was always great food but too noisy and chaotic for me. My tip is to sit outside at Kanna (great tacos and pulled pork) and get whatever food you like from the buffet. Ice cream at the buffet was really good. Friday is Dominican Day and the entire plaza is buzzing with vendors and food and drink. We attempted to take the free/included catamaran trip but it was cancelled due to crappy weather. They provide towels and a snack BTW. Workshops: 2 or more every day. We did several and they were free and fun. Go early since they fill up. Nightly entertainment: Some sort of show every night. Nothing spectacular but always entertaining. Several nights had staff in costume taking pics with guest. Dance party outside the sports bar every night from 9 to 11pm. Got some bug bites at night. My fault since I brought spray but didn't use it. If you don't bring enough sunscreen, you may have to sell a kidney to buy some at the resort store. Shopping tip: We went to the downtown mall (Jumbo is amazing) and shopped at the 2 malls there. Uber to the mall was about $15 with tip. It was a fun rainy day activity. Weather: rain forecasted everyday but really only rained one day. Umbrella in the room. Thanks again Harry for making our stay so relaxing. Reserved Section is the way to go, so deluxe.
