Sep 15, 2025Amazing time at the Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real
Just came back from a week at the Palma Real - 4 couples in our group. We had such an amazing time at this resort. I have been going to Melia resorts for the past 8 or so years and the experience has been consistent. The Palma Real is a beautiful resort on the Bavaro beach in Punta Cana. The grounds are maintained so beautifully by the staff who work tirelessly to make sure everything is perfect each day. Our group had some folks with dietary restrictions and there were always options for all of us. And all of the food was just amazing - especially all the fish options (raw an cooked)!! But the big difference was the staff. Our concierge, Alam, over at the Reserve was always there to help with our daily requests. Be it reservations, drinks or other items for our rooms, Alam took care of things right away. And a huge shout out to the Reserve Beach staff ... Pedro, Gilberto, Martin and Yudery. This crew was on point every day. Pedro especially!! Each day, our chairs, beds and palapas were setup early in the am with a bucket of ice cold water and soda. And, the drinks in our hands when we needed them. For something different, try some fresh squeezed orange with vodka. Not too sweet and so yummy! One other point about the beach. Many beaches in the Caribbean suffer from too much seaweed. At this resort, they maintain a net a good distance from the shore that keep most of it away which was so nice!! Melia has never disappointed me and the Reserve option has always been worth it.

Everything was great.
Everything was great. We were at the Adults Only section (Reserve) and Alam Molina was our concierge. He was fantastic, attentive, and addressed all our requests. The resort has been updated since our last visit many years ago. The gardens and pathways were spectacular. Beach was super clean (of seaweed, etc.) and the staff at the beach (Martin and Pedro) were always ahead of us with beds, chairs, towels, drinks, etc. Really felt like a VIP. Rooms were nicely done, only complaints are that we were on a 3rd floor unit with no elevators (and bad knees), and shower in room did not have any place to put things down on. A/C worked great and bed was super comfortable. Dining (service and food) was either good or great, depending on the restaurant. I do prefer the Melia resorts in Cancun and Play del Carmen for dining service and food choices, but this was pretty good. Shout out to Luis in the Asian restaurant as the best waiter this week.

Honeymoon Vacation
Excellent resort. Very peaceful, delicious food, very well maintained, beautiful scenery, swim up bar, clean rooms, could not be more happy for a honeymoon with my wife.

Amazing staff thank you Carolina and Yineska
I had an amazing stay at Paradisus Palma Real, and I want to give a special thanks to Carolina, the manager, and especially to Yineska, our concierge. Yineska went above and beyond to make our vacation unforgettable. She took care of everything for us – from restaurant reservations to booking activities – and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication truly made a difference. Thanks to her and the wonderful team, we enjoyed a stress-free and memorable experience. I highly recommend Paradisus Palma Real and especially the exceptional service from Carolina and Yineska.

A Must come back to kind of Resort!
We were there for 4 days with many other couples. The staff was beyond friendly. The amenities were superb. The dining options were great for different cuisine choices. The staff, Alberto, Leticia, Jose, and all of the staff at Kicks, their Sports Bar were great. Special shout out to Freida, my spelling might be off, he was in charge of the nightly entertainment and we were out in the courtyard every night being entertained, laughing, and dancing. This is a must visit again destination.
