Best trip ever!
We booked with Pacific for Less - totally recommend. Wow. What an amazing trip we had for our 10-year anniversary. We are so thankful we stayed at the St Regis. For us, this was a dream and one we thought we'd only do once in our lifetime but after our experience, we've decided we'll eventually make it happen again. Arrival - Arriving at the airport was an experience in itself. The views from the plane were beautiful. (Sit on the left side if you can.) It is worth mentioning that it was ugly and raining in Papeete but Bora Bora brought the sun so no worries. The weather forecasts were SO wrong. St Regis had a check in stand and they gave us cold water and ice cold wash clothes that smelled amazing. Once you experience the humidity, those wash clothes are a God send. Our boat was waiting for us and the transfer to the hotel was easy and an enjoyable ride. Arriving at the hotel was an event. The staff were waiting for us with fresh squeezed juice. Our personal butler (Florina - who was amazing!!) met with us to go over the check in schedule. We were there early - about 10am (our flight out of LAX was delayed a few hours). Check in was not until 3pm so they stored our luggage for us and drove us to the restaurant for a comped breakfast buffet. Before we completed our meal, Florina found us and told us our OWB was ready, and we could check in early. She took us on a quick tour of the property which is massive, then took us to our room. She carried in our luggage - although my husband tried to take it from her since she is a lady but she insisted that was her job. The French take that seriously. Let them do their job. haha. (Side note - tipping is not expected in their culture but it is in ours so tip them. They work hard to make you happy.) OWB- We got the OWB with the Lagoon View. The sunsets were beautiful on the other side, but you'll not get a bad view anywhere! The room was massive. The bathroom had an open-air shower and a deep tub with double sinks and slider privacy panels to the room. The bed was nice with a canopy and decorated so cute with flowers. The living area had a couch, a desk, table and chairs. We had a welcome gift of juice, 2 bottles of rum, and an assortment of snacks. There were two sets of glass sliders to the two-level deck with lounge chairs and a breakfast table. I recommend getting the floaties on Amazon -no big ones, just little ones. Most of the time the water was calm but a few times the current was pretty strong. Pay attention to the color flags at the end of the walkway. They keep those updated with current conditions. The floaties made being in the water fun. We saw turtles and sting rays while we were floating. So fun! One more recommendation, wear water shoes. The stairs into the water were very slippery. Restaurants- The food here was amazing. Starting off with breakfast at Te Pahu. The buffet was really good and some of our favorite meals. They have different fresh juices daily and the eggs are made to order. Teva was our host most days and he is so pleasant and welcoming. We just couldn't help but to smile each time we saw him. Our first night we ate are Farniente. The Italian food was really good! We especially enjoyed the charcuterie board appetizer. For a more upscale fine dining experience, we went to the Lagoon. Prior to dinner we went to the 727 Bar for drinks and the sunset. This is the best place for sunset views. One of our favorite nights for sure. The hostess found us and seated us inside for The Lagoon. To be honest - I wanted to hate it! As an American that loves cheeseburgers and pizza, fancy plate artwork was never appealing to me as a meal. OMG - I loved it! It was amazing and some of the best food we had on our whole trip. 110% recommend. Finally, we went to the Polynesian night at Aparima. The show was fun and entertaining. The food is buffet style and had some really good dishes. I will say though, almost everyone on the property will be here. The line for the food was sometimes long and by the time we got to the front many dishes was gone. They were being replaced as quickly as possible but I'm sure it was hard to keep up. The Spa / Private Pool - Don't skip this. If we had it to do over, I would splurge here for a longer massage or additional visits. This was the best massage I (and my husband) have ever had. No joke! We were given a locker that we could use as long as we wanted. After the massage, we used the spas beach and did some snorkeling in the lagoon. Bring your snorkel gear. We saw more fish here than anywhere else. The snorkeling here is amazing and no need to worry about sharks or any other dangerous fish. The lagoon is netted off so nothing can get in. If you get in from the spa beach, swim around to the right side around the dock for the best views. If you're lucky, you'll get to see Moana the huge blue Napolean fish. Stress free snorkel day! We spent a half day at the adult private pool. We did not use the main pool and rarely saw anyone else in it. It was beautiful and had a swim up bar. The adult pool was extremely private because of the way each cabana was positioned. No reservations needed - first come first serve. Just claim your cabana. We were the only ones there the whole time. The property/the service - This property is massive and I got turned around more than once. They give each room a set of bicycles to get around or you can call for a ride on the golf cart which we did often for dinner since a bike is hard to navigate in sandals. The restaurants are all in the same area close to reception which makes it convenient. Everyone here is so accommodating, welcoming, and friendly. One afternoon just walking around the property, Vita - he works at the beach area, grabbed coconut and flagged us down to give us a personal show/class on how to husk and open a coconut. It was completely unscripted and not expected but so much fun. Florina, our personal butler, I just can't give her enough praise. She told us if we don't see her, it's only because she can't find us. Although a joke, it really was true. She knew what we wanted even before we did. There were not very many kids here, so this is a perfect place for couples. All in all, St Regis is where it's at. We normally gravitate to Four Seasons properties but our research paid off. The St Regis went above and beyond to make our dreams a reality.

Our tenth visit and it keeps getting better!!!
This was our tenth trip to the St Regis Bora Bora. Our daughter thinks of it as her home away from home in the summer and we feel the same way. Yes, the resort is unquestionably one of the finest and most luxurious island resorts in the world. But what makes it special to us is the warmth of the staff, the unparalleled natural beauty, the endless activities available at any given moment without needing to plan (kayak, snorkel etc) and a very specific magic that we feel every single day while there. We also love the infusion of local culture. Yuri (he also has a Polynesian name but he told us Yuri as well - he is from Nuka Hiva) has the most thoughtful and educational experiences daily learning everything from coconut milk making to crown weaving. Truly remarkable and he was a very special addition to our trip. We love the “Beach Boys” so much. I truly cannot express how much they make everyday so special. Always with a smile, a thoughtful conversation and help with anything needed. The food - always exceptional. We stay at the resort our entire trip usually so this is a major factor. Even being vegetarians we always have fantastic options everywhere at the hotel. And two years in a row we’ve had Florina as our butler. She is so wonderful and especially thoughtful with our six year old daughter. I could go on and on but I will just say this: we have tried most all of the resorts on Bora Bora (Four Seasons, Conrad, Thalasso etc - as well as other island hotels throughout French Polynesia and the world) and to us there is no comparison. The charm, natural beauty and unbelievably warm staff make this our favorite place on earth hands down.

Repeat visit. Mostly superlative but some areas for improvement with service. Will likely return!!
Having been to this resort 7 years ago, when we were blown away by the place and service, we had high expectations this time around, coming for our wedding anniversary. Initial impressions were underwhelming, and a few things seemed less impressive than the previous time. The overall property is similar in many ways, but we were disappointed to see the shark lagoon no longer in operation. The kids club is no longer there. The reception pond is devoid of fish, when the last time we recall seeing so many colourful ones…! The sea life was less impressive than the last time but we could put that down to the weather at the time The room was superb, and we had a much appreciated upgrade due to our platinum status. The spa was superlative with service to match. Bam Boo restaurant was brilliant. Lagoon had one of the best meals we have ever had, and service was awesome. Far Niente was good with food but not with service… 75 mins wait for food was unacceptable. We were not very satisfied with the Polynesian dinner night (the food quality) or Apariva. The breakfast was less impressive, with quality and service. The pre-arrival communication was very good and prompt. We found the service unusually inconsistent. Ordered items were missed more than once… some staff members were less friendly. Butlers were good. I wish to highlight that the attendants at the beach and pool were true St Regis style and quality! They would go out of the way to help and were super proactive. Lagoon staff were a class apart. Same with Bamboo. We raised the inconsistency issues and this was addressed well by the management staff, so more details are not necessary. We expect most guests to get super service. There remains room for improvement in keeping with St Regis standards, but this still is likely the best resort in Bora Bora.

Best trip of our life!!!
Stayed here for 1 week for our honeymoon and was blown away. My husband and I have stayed at many five star resorts all over the world, and this was by far our favorite. Truly heaven on earth. The water was stunning and warm, service was incredible-- they truly go above and beyond in every aspect. Felt like we were in a movie! We debated hard about whether to stay here or at the Four Seasons, but after doing tons of research and reading reviews we are SO happy with our choice to stay at the St. Regis. Dreaming of the day we can come back!! 🩵
