Location is great but need an improvement
We usually stay at Hyatt whenever we travel, but this was our first time trying out a Westin—and honestly, we had mixed feelings. The property in Hawaii is beautiful, the location is perfect, and most of the amenities were really nice. We loved the pool area and the overall vibe of the place. However, right from the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel very welcomed. It was a bit of an odd first impression—no warm greeting, which kind of threw us off. We were expecting a little more hospitality, especially for a hotel of this level. Another thing that stood out was the lack of vegetarian food options. As vegetarians, we found it tough to enjoy meals on-site. There wasn’t much to choose from, and the breakfast buffet was especially disappointing—aside from the fresh, hot omelette station (which was great), everything else looked a bit sad and limited. We really hope Westin considers improving the guest welcome experience and offering more inclusive food options. That would make a big difference. Still, we enjoyed parts of our stay and might consider coming back if those things are addressed.

I this place is amazing. The food is perfect just a little too expensive. The rooms are amazing. The service is amazing and don’t get me started on the beach. The sand is so soft the beach is clean. Will go again.

Just…….Mid
Nothing to complain about. Nothing worth raving about either. Everything was just Mid! Staff were friendly. Food was okay. Spa was not the full-service I’d expect from a resort. Not enough pool or beach chairs. Guest were claiming their spots before 6am! Weather gorgeous. Limited activities. Choose wisely

Relaxing stay at luxurious resort
We had visited Hapuna Beach 15 years ago, and it was a dream come true to bring our teen son back and stay 3 nights. My spouse is a Bonvoy Platinum member, so we enjoyed the continental breakfast perq for two. Unfortunately, we didn't get a room upgrade - they said the hotel was full. We had room 575, the first room in the North tower, ground floor lanai with not much view. Are those Queen beds? Felt like Full, and seemed a bit worn. These were my least favorite beds of the four places we stayed in Hawaii this trip. The room and bathroom were spacious. The hotel lobby and views are amazing. Enjoyed the pools and clean white sand beach and clear ocean water. My son loved snorkeling for the first time, using the hotel's free gear. I fell in love with the free guest laundry room! What a pleasant surprise. Four washers and four dryers, with soap and dryer sheets provided, on the 6th floor, under our room. Naupaka Bar & Grill were convenient. We had dinner there once and a few drinks - the pina colada was potent. My son was disappointed that the strawberry smoothie was more of a dairy milkshake. Ikena Landing breakfast was adequate. We had a mix of the continental breakfast, upgraded full buffet, and made-to-order menu items. The Piko market was convenient for cheaper on-the-go snacks - can you say coconut cake? It was the highest compliment when our son asked, "Can't we stay a couple more days?" He wanted to snorkel more. Thank you for the comfortable luxury. We hope to be back.
