Jun 13, 2025Excellent stay for our family w/ 3 teens!
Excellent vacation! Was the perfect place to stay with our 3 teens. Plenty of room for us all. Prices were reasonable. Washer/dryer and kitchen was a huge bonus. Property was very clean with great customer service. The buffet at Oceano was delicious and pool/beachside food convenient and yummy. Loved being able to walk across the street to the shops. Ordered groceries via Uber Eats and took a Uber to the Xcaret Ferry for a day at Isla Mujeras. Beach is rough for swimming but still nice. Pools are excellent. Spa services wonderful. We would totally come back!

Can’t wait to go back!!
Our first visit to Cancun. We booked the Westin Lagunamar for a last minute vacation, since we had a timeshare week expiring on II and didn’t want to lose it. We’re so glad we chose this resort! It’s a hidden Non-All-Inclusive gem in the land of All- Inclusive's. We had a one-bedroom corner suite. It was tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are 3 restaurants on site. You can eat in, order by the pool or deliver to your suite. It was windy so the ocean was too choppy for us to swim. We enjoyed daily walks along the beach with very little seaweed because the area is cleaned regularly. The beach is patrolled by the local police and we weren’t approached by any pesky venders. There’s a beautiful open mall directly across the road with every designer store you can name. A variety of restaurants within a short walk, as well as a grocery/ liquor store a 10 min walk from the hotel. We felt safe walking in the area, there was always other couples and families walking when we were out (our latest walk back to the hotel was at 11:30pm). We also took the buses that run up and down the strip. If you’re not into the typical, AI resort with hotel size rooms, this is the place to stay. Even the Studio suites are at least twice the size of a hotel room, and can accommodate 4 with the sofa bed. I could go on and on about this resort! Highly recommend!

My friend (Marriott vacation club member) and I stayed at this property for 3 nights. Overall decent facilities and conveniently located across from mall area. Would highly recommend checking out restaurants at the mall! For any travelers looking for excursions, please AVOID Albatros cataraman vendor. We booked Isla Mujeres tour through them and had traumatic experience of being left by boat and stranded on island! When the concierge contacted the company, not only were they not apologetic for what had happened, but also they 1. Blamed us and 2. Used justification that we were the only people left behind to excuse their actions. Horrible way to treat customers!

The Westin Lagunamar NEVER disappoints!
The Westin Laguna Mar never fails to exceed expectations in creating memories that last for lifetimes. From the General Manager Carlos Gonzalez to Gabriel the guest assistance associate. The concierge Geraldo Chapa was excellent - very professional assisting in ground transportation/ reserving a private catamaran and Owner update. The sales team / owner update was professional and “no pressure”. Thank you to all!

May 27, 2025DISGUSTING SERVICE. DISGUSTING ROOMS.
This is my 5th visit. I am an owner. This is the WORST stay I’ve ever had at any hotel or resort. PERIOD. We got 4 rooms. What was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation is turning into a big headache. We checked in around 5ish and wanted to sleep in and rest before our first day. My sister started hearing dropping sounds around 6 local time and tried to ignore it. When she went to the restroom she found huge drops from bathroom ceiling as well as kitchen microwave area. Called reception around 6:30 to let them know. Engineer came and tried to gaslight her saying it was ac condensation. Called another engineer. Then a supervisor, then toled her they need ANOTHER supervisor to see it and OK before moving them to another room. All the while the bathroom and kitchen floors are flooded. Not just puddles - FLOODED. I got involved around 8 local time. Mind you we are from west coast so 2 hours ahead. We’ve been up since 4 PST. I talked to the second supervisor (Reyna) and she was reluctant to change room right away. She said she needed to get yet another supervisor involved. I asked for manager. Nothing. Also, that room was part of a 2 bdtm (1bdrm connected to studio). They insisted that all 4 people needed to move bc it was a 2 bdrm. I refused bc there was a door and the problem room was actually a studio. By that time the whole family(all EIGHT of us) were up. I asked the supervisor to comp breakfast given the situation - they comped 2 saying that only 2 people were moving. After breakfast sister moved and they left a I’m sorry fruit plate in the room. HALF THE FRUIT ON THE PLATE WERE ROTTEN WHEN WE TRIED TO EAT IT!!!!!!!!!!! And for my parents’ room - they’re 75 and 70. I guess they didn’t clean up the cleaning products sufficiently or they spilled some oily product or something cuz my 75 year old dad slipped and fell! And my mom almost fell too a little later. And on top of that their room was infested with COCKROACHES!!!!! My mom and dad were reluctant to tell me bc they didn’t want to make a fuss and ruin the vacation. I had to do a timeshare presentation and I told them (the sales team was very nice and attentive and understanding when I told them). The sales manager said his manager spoke with the operations manager and that they would be reaching out. I reminded him that this was the last day and I am expecting a call from the manager: 4PM and not a damn word. Disgusted is an understatement. WESTIN — SHAME ON YOU.
