Don’t Go
Still here. Paid for an ocean front room and probably got one of the worst rooms in the hotel. Asked to be moved or upgraded with no response. I’m gluten free and they didn’t have a clue about the dishes but for the freshly made omelet. Put phone rang once at 7 am and woke us up. We are canvassing our presentation tomorrow. I haven’t been this disappointed in a hotel ever.

Very Nice Westin Resort in Cabo
The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas is a very nice resort located between San Jose and downtown Cabo. The property is very spacious and has amazing ocean views. This was our first trip to Cabo, and we really enjoyed the resort and visiting both downtown areas. The resort is about 25-minutes from downtown Cabo and San Jose, so if you don't have a rental car, you can easily grab an Uber. Below a list of pros and cons of the Resort: Pros - The resort is very well maintained, however there was some construction projects going on during the day. They did not interfere with our enjoyment of the adult pool area. - The staff are incredibly accommodating and took great care of us. From David who made sure we had everything we needed at the pool, to Alicia and Sebastian who ran the various events and were both my Pickleball partners through the week. - The 2-bedroom villa we had was spacious, modern, and well appointed. Plenty of hot water in the showers, and the master has its own balcony, plus one in the family room. Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the property, and there is a nice business center if needed. - We rented a car, and the valet had it ready every time we had called down to head out (I found driving in the area to be very easy, it's a straight shot to downtown Cabo where we visited about 5-times for different activities). - The restaurants all share the same overall menu which has a good variety of choices, which was fine for us since we went out to dinner several nights. - There is a market which is well stocked, and we visited the local supermarket Fresko to stock-up when we arrived. - In the evening the resort is pretty quiet, but we enjoyed watching the World Series at the sports bar, where they also have a few pool and foosball tables. - My wife enjoyed 2 spa visits with Maria who she said did an excellent job both times. - For pickleball they have sessions every morning at 9:00 AM with a tournament on Thursday mornings. They provide paddles if you don't have one. - The staff runs pool activities each day like bingo, Blackjack tournaments, water aerobics, tequila tastings, etc. - Unlike other Marriott resorts we've stayed at, we never had an issue getting prime seating around the pool area, even though we came down most mornings around 9:30 AM. There are also a whole set of beach chairs on the beach if you prefer that. Cons - The resort is quite large, and navigating from the lobby to your room can be a decent walk and a bit confusing. There are ramps in certain areas, but this was an on-going discussion with other guests. - While there is a nice beach, due to the risk of rip tides, you must sign a waiver if you want to swim in the ocean. You'll want to pick your time carefully, since the waves come crashing in very strongly at times, and there are rock outcroppings you will want to give a wide berth to. Travel Tip - I typically get local currency from an ATM when traveling. I noticed the service fees at most ATM's were quite high, ranging from $10 - $100 USD depending on how many Pesos you wanted. On our next visit I would request the local currency from our bank since you can always use any leftover Pesos to offset your hotel incidentals when you check-out. We would certainly visit again, and the end of October had perfect weather all week with no rain and minimal cloud cover.

unconscious circus
Years ago I bought a package for 5 days/4 nights, I had to go to a 90 minute talk while I was there. For years I tried to book but I could not get in. My package finally expired and I had to go this past week. It was so loud-they were remodelling with a cement jackhammer from 9-5 every day. It was so loud. There was so much mis communication with staff members, noone knew what was going on. I found some peace at Baja point, next door. Hugo was the kindest most caring concierge and made my stay. This is not a swimmable beach and the food is incredibly expensive and so are the drinks. I will not be returning here or buy any time share or vacation club. For example one employee said you don't have to pay for vallet, you can park in the employee lot-someone else said no you have to pay to be a guest here and park your car. One said yu can get coffee at the caffe, I went to get coffee and they were plussed-they said no. My coffee maker in the room was broken. They are extremely cheap and old coffee makers. The towels were very rough and old.

Incompetent, careless, and cruel management
Some of the most incompetent, careless, and cruel management ever. The AC system went out and they did nothing. No comms, no relocation, no help offered. 40 hours with AC out and room temp of 81F. We had 2 kids, including an infant - they did not care and did nothing. Took me reaching out to Marriott corporate to get some traction. And then screaming at front desk to get a room at a sister property. Turns out they were available all along... This is a horrendous experience for a Marriott branded property.

Avoid this place
This hotel is further evidence of the Westin brands long slow march into low end status. By no means was I expecting the same experience one could expect at a JW or higher brand but this was an extreme letdown. First and foremost the Air Conditioning went out after night one of our stay and never came back on. The weather was extremely hot and we eventually had to find other accommodations at another resort. During the time the HVAC was out, staff was unconcerned often giving "guarantees" that the AC would be on at a specific time, only to have that time roll past and a new guaranty issued. Also, the concierge messed up the deep sea fishing booking we made resulting in us being left at the dock, with no boat. We were told it was due to either a scheduling miscommunication or boat issue but it all seemed like excuses. Interactions with staff generally felt like you were being "hustled" and the entire experience was the worst I ever had at a Marriott property. I would avoid this facility at all costs.
