If you have free transportation, ensure u don’t get in a taxi. Hotel workers prey on your ignorance and are dishonest.
I did a package with transportation included. When it was time to leave, the worker placed my bags in a van and said this was my transportation to the airport. When I get to the airport the driver collected $75. It’s a conspiracy! The hotel has not responded to my request for a refund and is acting oblivious about the entire situation.

Best vacation ever!
Alicia from activities was AWESOME this morning. We love her energy and her water aerobics class <3 This is only day 2 of our vacation and we are loving it here!

Timeshare pushy
Overcharged. Complained. Never refunded. They are there to sell timeshares and we tried to say no we didn’t want to go to a meeting. Absolutely would not let us go to our room at check in until we signed up for a meeting. Also the water is inaccessible. The beach has only a tiny space that they crowd everyone together. Lastly, the view for common people who don’t own a timeshare yet is by the rocks on the far edge of the curve. Straight on view is the side of a rocky hill. They really ruined our vacation and I certainly don’t want to visit Cabo ever again.

Nice pictures online - but Chicago wind in June, and attitudes of motel staff!
The resort looks beautiful in pictures, but I was unaware this location has wind in June that will literally blow you over! It’s difficult to imagine a summer beach vacation wearing a jacket. Conversely, it appears the brisk weather also makes the staff rough around the edges, because the customer service you’d expect, from greetings to smiles is sub par. Pro’s: 1. Picturesque views of the ocean Cons: 1. Uber drivers are not allowed past the security gate. We had to walk with our luggage approx 150 yards to the front desk to check in! 2. Check in is at 4pm but check out is 10am! The window of stay is extremely short…It’s not even half a day! Basically, get dinner and go to bed the first day but you’re being charged for a full day! On the day of checkout, pack the night before, get an early breakfast and get out by 10am! This is unacceptable, and if they cannot accommodate guests better, they should only bill for half days on check-in and check-out! 3. You cannot get in the ocean on this side! This should be clearly advertised on all marketing material in red flashing lights! The wind is so strong on this side, and the current is so strong, it is impossible to get anywhere near the ocean. This was very-very disappointing! 4. The price reserved is different from the price reserved. When questioned, we were told it’s based on the daily conversion rate. But we checked out on a Saturday when markets are generally closed, and I’d be OK with a few dollars but a $70 dollar difference is egregious! 5. Nice pictures online, but walking around the property it starts to feel like a compound due to all of the concrete walls, few windows, etc. My title should have been “The pseudo beach vacation”!

The Hotel is wonderful but the staff . . . .
The moment we arrived (this isn't our first stay) we were greeted with "Welcome Home" and it really feels like home. The staff is always the same, so they remember us, and we are greeted with warmth. I enjoy catching up with my "friends", especially Angel, who remembers what preferences are from stay to stay. Raul was on vacation this visit, but I look forward to seeing him next time. There are so many other wonderful staff members, friendly and welcoming, a truly personal experience. This trip I met Sebastian who I took water aerobics from my last stay and will again. We had a chance to meet and really get to know each other, which was a special experience for me. We visit this resort twice a year, and as wonderful as the hotel is (it's really a beautiful property), it's the staff that makes our time in Cabo San Lucas special and memorable. Bring your family, come with friends and get ready to make new friendships at the Westin Los Cabos .
