Jul 30, 2025One of the best resorts I’ve stayed at!!
The resort was amazing and the service staff especially Marilyn. She was very friendly and went up and above to make our dining experience very memorable!!! Please recognize for her efforts!! I will definitely return here again and make more enjoyable memories!!

Starfish Restaurant
Dining is always a pleasure at Stardish either Maria Tehada as my server. She recognized me after my first visit and worked hard to make certain my preferences were met. I've been coming to the Westin LaPlaya Bonita for 4 years now but never have I met so many gems!

Jul 20, 2025For starters, staffing is HORRIBLE! We stayed 5 nights and first day there it took over 1 hr for our pizza to be delivered at the pool side area. The pools have MOLD!!! Our shower had MOLD, I have room service and wtf, it would take over an hour for a damn sandwich to be delivered!!! Not to mention that bread was hard as a rock and cold fries! Service is extremely slow. What’s funny is that I am Hispanic so if I spoke in Spanish they would literally ignore me or take my order and it would take forever but the moment I spoke in English to the staff I would get what I would ask for faster!! Our day there, ordered a pizza at the pool, asked for pepperoni, ham and vegetables. How hard can that be right? Pizza was $12 and they did mention that it would be additional cost for toppings. I get the pizza and it had half pepperoni and half ham. I did not ask for that so I asked them to remake. She came back with the same damn pizza and just thru veggies and cheese on top and on the pepperoni half they added sliced turkey!!! Yes turkey not even ham. Not to mention that they charged me $8 The vegetables btw were sweet potato and zucchini yeah well not what I expected but I don’t complain about the veggies that was my bad for not asking. I went to speak to the manager and they wanted me to sit down obviously so that customers wouldn’t hear me but hell no, I didn’t care. They called someone else over and I had to go over the scenario once again so that I could get my money back. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Not worth your time or your money.

This is an exceptional hotel. From the friendly staff, great restaurant selections to the great rooms. Everything was above expectations. I could not ask for more. Jorge and Nelson are fantastic. Nelson constantly goes above and beyond. We asked him where was a restaurant and he escorted us across the resort to the restaurant. Elidia is the best bartender at the resort. Her drink making skills and customer service are fantastic. There are multiple pools to enjoy, one with a swim up bar, one with a volleyball net, a kiddie pool and two others. The beach is trash. Its full of shells and is only about 10 feet from the water to the end. The great pools make up for it by far. Uber pickups are quick for rides to the city, old town. The grocery store is a $5 uber axi ride away.

- Advisory*Important Information* Panama imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. They usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced: -Alcohol is restricted Thursday, midnight at 12:00am to Saturday, midnight at 12:00am. -Music is banned in Discos and public places. (AI resorts get a permit enabling them to serve alcohol and play music within the resort.)
