  Beautiful View, Pleasant Stay, but Some Room and Concierge Improvements Needed

  My family and I stayed at the Westin Cancun in room 1131, and the ocean-facing view was definitely the best part of our stay — truly beautiful to wake up to each morning. The overall experience was pleasant for our family of three. However, the room itself needs attention, particularly the bathroom, which is in serious need of renovation. We also discovered a dead hermit crab in the room that we ended up removing ourselves — not something you want to deal with on vacation. Another thing to be aware of: when asking the concierge for restaurant recommendations, we were consistently directed to high-end, five-star dining options where the average meal will cost approximately $125–$150 per person. While the food may be excellent, it's something to keep in mind if you're looking for diverse options or more reasonably priced local cuisine. The location and views make it memorable, but improvements in room maintenance and more varied concierge recommendations would enhance the overall experience.

  Amazing place

  This place has everything you need to have a great time with your family or your couple. The hotel (super clean) room, the attention, the breakfast, the restaurants are excellent. The staff were so nice and helpful with our requests. Ian, Alan, Jorge from the front desk, and Mariza y Herminio from the restaurant Sabor were amazing! Thank you for everything! We are coming back for sure!

  Noise Issues and an Unprofessional Sales Encounter

  I chose The Westin Cancun expecting a quiet place to unwind, but the stay fell noticeably below expectations. The biggest issue was noise. The room insulation was extremely poor, and I could hear loud bangs, high heels, and what sounded like heavy furniture being moved at all hours. I changed rooms once, yet the problem continued. When I reported it to the front desk, nothing improved, and the issue did not feel adequately addressed. Some of the noises were so abrupt that I genuinely could not understand how they were occurring so late at night. For a resort in this category, this was unacceptable. The spa and the food were both good, but they were priced on the higher end. Quality was there, but the overall value felt inconsistent given the rest of the experience. The most concerning part of the stay was a timeshare presentation with a salesperson named Ivan. When I declined his offer, he became clearly irritated and raised his tone. The interaction felt unprofessional and out of line with the standards I associate with the Marriott brand. It left a negative impression that should not happen at a property of this level. The resort has potential, but between the unresolved noise issues and the unprofessional conduct during the sales presentation, the experience was far from relaxing and not something I’d expect from a Westin property.

  Cocktail class

  Great experience of seeing how the cocktails are being made. Very fun staffs with great service. Guillermo was the best!!

  Fantastic experience

  Had been visiting this hotel for business trip for 2 days. The location is great, very convenient 15 minutes drive from the airport. My room was simple but very comfortable, facing the lagoon, very peaceful and secluded. Everything you need for relaxing after long day. The atmosphere in the hotel is super friendly, all the stuff is greeting and smiling, making sure you’re all set with everything you may need. The facilities are very clean and taken care of. The breakfast buffet is out of this world!! Omelette station, cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit and pastry, incredible variety and great service! Oh and one more thing I loved about Westin is - they offer some great activities for guests. It was fantastic to start my day with nice stretching or HIIT class with Guillermo, he is phenomenal, highly recommend! Thank you, if I visit Cancun again - I’m definitely coming back to Westin Resort and Spa
