Save your money
Save your money, although the place is nice. Service is lacking. Our group of 25 planned a celebration at this resort and we were disappointed. We ate at several of their restaurants; one served me a luke warm meal while my wife's meal was hot. In another instance I had to get up to get my own coffee because we could not locate our server. Our room had mold on the bath ceiling, Pool was warm and borderline hot. The mosquitos were very aggressive; spraying would have helped. The beach was nice but small, and rocky. Across the bay we could see larger sandy beaches. The sunsets were beautiful.

Amazing service, beautiful facilities, and great value. We were welcomed with champagne while waiting for early check-in
We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. Although our room wasn’t ready at early check-in, we were welcomed with champagne, which made the wait enjoyable. The staff were consistently attentive and friendly, from front desk to poolside. The facilities are modern and comfortable, and the cocktails were delicious. Room service had a great variety of meals, and the food at Tanto was excellent—especially the custom dish they prepared to match my dietary needs. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back!

Westin family trip
Angel Urrutia did a great job at the pool area. Best server we encountered. Extremely tentative great customer service. Each day that we went down to enjoy the pool, he was ready to serve and was the type of server to remember your favorite drinks.

If you like fruit flies in your food , you will love this place
Check in was great - we got into our rooms early , we were given champagne- all was right with the world, little did we know that check in would be the highlight of the trip. We headed to the pools and were told that the Westin , prior to 2023, had three pools and 3 towers , currently they have two pools and two towers and the largest pool is now part of the “different “ hotel that in literally a Westin with a different sign and a plastic fences separating the two hotels- it’s odd and confusion. I’ll skip over the fact my room had an ironing board and no iron and how I had to beg for show gel and shampoo and I’ll get to the breakfast. At breakfast I was happy to see it was a buffet setup, I just didn’t realize that the All You Can Eat, was just for fruit flies and mosquitoes!!!! The food, which was sitting out in the sun, was literally covered in fruit flies - the hotel staff would walk by and wave their hands over the fruit, hoping to make the flies disappear like some magic trick - it didn’t work. My family sat and watched a few folks walk up to the fruit fly party and run away - a little kids screamed and held his plate in horror when he saw the flies - eventually the staff used little fans , which did not but cool the fruit flies down - I saw a chief come and check on the flies and take out a spoon and scoop flies out of the yogurt , I guess he got tired of scooping , so he looked around and mixed the rest of the flies in with the yogurt- the buffet staff was friendly however- but they were all in on the fruit fly party - no one seemed to care. The rooms are nice , the hotel is under construction- I hope they figure out the fly situation- we enjoyed seeing the iguanas swimming in the pool, the iguanas at the pool were able to get drinks faster than the paying guest , we saw a women wait for a drink, put the drink down and a iguanas swim across the pool, eat the pineapple off her drink and then knock the drink down with his back foot- I don’t think the bartender gave her a comp drink - maye this hotel will be better once the construction is done- Some brave soul please let me know

The Westin Has Lost Its Appeal
This hotel was once very lovely to stay at, but it definitely has lost that appeal! It definitely is not worth the three stars it currently has; and, I urge anyone reading this to rethink their stay! It was a horrible stay!! First of all after arriving on time for check-in, I had to wait for TWO HOURS in the heat for my room to be ready to enter. When I asked if there was a place that I could get a drink or somewhere cool to wait, the woman at check-in could not care less to offer any suggestions. Apparently, I was not the only one, as there were 3 other families waiting to be checked-in. Finally, I get into my room, and it was evident that NONE of the linens had actually been changed, as they all smelled like mildew. After trying to call, I had to literally go back to the front desk to get someone to change the linens and towels. Then the next day, I went to the pool area to relax for a few hours. After being there for a few hours, I realized that all of the people were getting served by the waitstaff, and no one had come over to me. I am not one to use the discrimination card freely, but I could not understand why no one approached me for a drink order or food for all the hours I was there. I literally had to go to the bar to order something to drink in the sweltering heat; and, even then, the staff seemed bothered that I even approached them. I met two different families on this trip that ended up going to another hotel, and I am happy that I checked out and went to an Airbnb instead. Apart from the welcoming staff in the breakfast area and at the main entrance, the staff are generally not very helpful or friendly. Even when checking out, I asked for the contact information for the general manager, that no one could find. Definitely not worth the money and points that I spent on this trip.
