Nov 03, 2025TRS was good but George our butler made our stay!
We enjoyed our honeymoon at TRS — the grounds are absolutely beautiful and exactly what we pictured. Unfortunately our stay was marred by a frustrating check-in experience: an employee named Erik gave us misleading information about upgrade pricing, and we ended up paying a steep fee under the impression it was for a better room. It later turned out that wasn’t the case. We’re not sure whether this was a language misunderstanding or something else, but it left a bad first impression. Thankfully Delta Vacations stepped in and resolved the issue so we could finally start our honeymoon on a positive note. Besides this being our honeymoon the highlight of our trip was our butler, George. He was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond — greeting us with a smile, checking in to make sure everything was perfect, and even arranging thoughtful touches like rose petals and chocolate-covered strawberries. George truly made us feel special and is the main reason we’d consider returning. The pools are stunning, the bartenders were excellent, and the all-inclusive food was what you’d expect. Gaucho, the steakhouse, was our favorite — the steaks were so good we went twice — and the upgraded lobster dinner was worth it. We also loved the Chic Cabernet event for the quality of the food and the dancers, though we did leave a bit hungry, so if you’re a foodie like us, consider grabbing some appetizers before the show. A couple practical tips: there were a fair number of mosquitoes, so bring bug spray. If you plan to go excursions, bring water shoes, a sun shirt, and a dry bag! In short: beautiful property and outstanding service from select staff (especially George), but be cautious and double-check upgrade/pricing details at check-in.

Jungle
This all-inclusive hotel, adults only, is a nice place to stay if you like being in a container. This is not Mexico. This is a massive resort carved out of the jungle. Lots of buildings, pools, and dining choices. (24/7) An all-inclusive resort certainly takes the stress off of having to make decisions. And if you like this kind of thing that TRS is a nice place to stay for a few days. I think at all-inclusive hotel is a bit like a car. Some cars are bare Bones/ inexpensive and some are quite expensive with fancy details. TRS seems to be a bit above average, Tthe rooms are large, well appointed and clean. The wristband with chip inside allows you to get in and out of your room without having a key. This is a really nice touch. But if you think about it globally, this is more trash generated on the planet. They have to cut that thing off your wrist and hopefully reuse that chip. The staff is friendly no matter where you go. As a personvwho loves good food, the food varied from place to place. I came for a wedding. The food served at the wedding was the most mediocre of my entire experience at TRS. Mostly flavorless and remind me of food on a cruise ship. Serviceable, but completely forgettable considering this was only a wedding of 30 people. It seems like there should have been a dedicated chef to create really delicious meal. One of the choices next to the pre-dressed salad was canned corn. Really? This is the perfect place though to come and relax and not have to think about anything. Except you have to make reservations for every single dinner at every restaurant. That's a tad tedious. TRS was crowded during the weekend. I stayed but never felt particularly crowded. I have traveled extensively and have never stayed at an all-inclusive resort (a cruise ship?) And probably wouldn't return to TRS. It's just not my cup of tea. But overall it was pleasant to be with friends and hang out by a pool And not have to plan much of anything.

Nice Halloween trip
Great time, butlers were great, the staff was great, Daniel was excellent as usual in Capriccio's, as well as David we met this trip at Capriccio and LaBohem, Miguel and Martha were great at Helio's. The decorations were excellent for Halloween and day of the dead. Very nice experience.
