  Great Anniversary Trip

  My wife and I had a great time on our anniversary trip staying at the TRS-Yucatán. It’s a large resort in pretty spread out, very natural. It was a great relaxing holiday. Plenty of entertainment in the evenings as well. The staff was friendly and always very helpful.

  Everything we needed and hoped for! Wedding anniversary done right!

  Words can’t describe how great this experience has been!!! My husband and I came for our anniversary and it was truly incredible! We ended up extending our trip while we were there (which the hotel made seamless for us)! Room/Butlers: We were in villa 66 which was a perfect location being close to Helios restaurant and the main pool (but don’t worry, you can’t hear noise from your room). Our butlers Naomi, Alfredo and Carlos were amazing! Use your butlers, they are there to help!! We formed relationships with each of them. They helped us with EVERYTHING! Booked shows for us, dinner reservations, car service, etc. You can easily txt them on What’s App. They were all so very kind and fun (be sure to tip them, they work hard)!! Our room was great, everything was smooth. When we come back, we are definitely going to try to be with them again. Only thing I would say is that at least for us, room service took a LONG time so plan ahead. We did it 2x and both times took well over an hour, one of the times it was about two hours. The room is very clean though and the beds were comfortable. They have tons of pillow options to help make sure you sleep well (I use a cervical one at home and they had one for me when we got there)! Check In/VIP wristband: When you arrive, they will take your bags, give you a welcome drink, and you will meet with a check in agent. They will go over your reservation with you and let you know about a lot of different upgrades. I see mixed reviews about the blue VIP wristband upgrade, but we found it well worth it. We had priority access to the blue golf carts which helped us multiple times, we had our own section at the pools with the same servers who would see us coming and already know our drink order and even remembered our names. We got tickets to CHIC and BINGO included in it and a specialty free lobster which was AMAZING that you order in advance with your butler. We also could visit the spa hydrotherapy every day. All of that was worth it for us when we checked in. I could order whatever liquor I wanted even top shelf at the bars and even as for a double and they did no question asked (though I did tip them because they were amazing!!). Getting Around/Resort: You have very easy access to all of the other resorts with just a golf cart ride where ever you want to go. Your butler can tell you all the various events happening and when so that you can kind of plan out what you want to do each day. Our resort is adult only and the entertainment at CHIC cabaret is incredible!! Spa: We loved the spa so much, we booked a second day. This spa felt luxurious. The aromatherapy circuit was amazing and we felt so very rested. We did 2 80min massages as well. We did one on the second day we were there and ended up doing it again our second to last day. It was incredibly clean and stunning! Food/allergies: Our fav breakfast and lunch spot was Heilos for sure, but there was a lot of great options. We did different restaurants each night and they were all delish, especially the Italian and french place. They have a couple steakhouses and hibachi as well. I am allergic to seafood and they were always mindful of that. Even at the Chic show which has a set dinner course, they worked with my allergy and gave me amazing alternatives.

  NO longer a 5 star experience

  Beautiful place, staff is friendly, service is also mostly good. There is nothing I would call all inclusive about this resort any more, as many many service are now extra cost.. Is hard to find a place at the main adult pool as many of the seats are now reserved for an extra cost. This was our 19th visit to TRS, but we are going to try other resorts on the Yucatan

  Manuel Chimal at Helios

  I would like to give a special mention to Manuel Chimal, who looked after us so well in Helios at TRS Yucatán, as indeed did all of the staff. From the moment we arrived each morning, Manuel remembered us and our order, he would immediately bring me a water, my daughter prefers sparkling water and without us even needing to ask and a Mimosa of course! It was such a small detail, but it made us feel genuinely cared for and remembered. On our final day, Manuel went above and beyond by decorating a plate for me which was such a thoughtful and touching gesture and the perfect way to end our stay. Manuel is a true credit to the hotel and clearly takes great pride in what he does. His kindness, attention to detail and warm personality made our visits to Helios, something we looked forward to every day. Thank you, Manuel, for making our experience so special, you are amazing!
