  Very relaxing, enjoyable.

  This is a lovely, older resort with gorgeous mature landscaping, old world charm. While not super luxury, it certainly has everything you need, and is very spacious and charming. Pools are lovely, and love that you can hear the waves crashing on the beach from your huge, private patio. I loved that I could swim laps in the morning at the beachfront pool, while looking at/hearing the ocean. Lots of shaded seating by pools. Food is pretty good, with some of my favorite items being on the poolside lunch menu. Primarily a spot for older couples, families, company trips, definitely not a singles resort. Not too much loud music, it’s easily avoided if you care to. Great place to just relax and chill, if that’s your jam. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

  RELAX AND ENJOY LIFE IN "PARADISE" - VELAS VALLARTA LA MARINA

  If you are looking for "PARADISE", look no further! VELAS VALLARTA la Marina in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is the place to be! You are greeted at the entry by professional bellboys with willingness to assist all. The ambiance of the eloquent and inviting lobby and reception area is exquisite. This area offers seating and tables to enjoy delicious crepes, which are included in the all-inclusive package, or you can simply relax or chat as you enjoy a drink and the huge oversized screen displaying various sports throughout the day. There are numerous support personnel to assist you with computers, others to assist with excursions, and a friendly and helpful reception staff. The large open doorways lead to an experience you will want to enjoy with friends and family, or simply just to get away and relax. The lush variety of foliage and flora are manicured regularly. There always seems to be another surprise beauty to be discovered and enjoyed. Amenities of this complex include two large swimming pools which are connected by water pathways under some bridges that supply temporary shade on a hot day in the pool. The pools are at a depth that are deep enough for all ages to enjoy. There is a separate kiddies' pool for the young ones, Numerous lounge chairs and patio tables and chairs surround the pools. For those who like to relax in the shade, there are several areas provided. There is a swim up bar with stools to enjoy a beverage or you can order from friendly bartenders from your chairs. There are so many sights to view as you walk along the wide brick pathways. A favourite of many guests are the numerous large fish that swim throughout the grounds, and the relaxing waterfalls. You can even catch a view of the peacock or iguanas that are strolling around the grounds. Other amenities for this beautiful resort are two restaurants, one located along the beach, and the other near the lobby. The food was delicious at both restaurants and the staff were all extremely friendly and professional. For a quick treat, there is a hot dog/burger stand as well as an ice cream stand to help cool you off. There was always something for all ages and all appetites. Other amenities at this resort include tennis courts or pickle ball courts, a relaxing spa, gym fitness area, table tennis, a boutique and a small convenience store. You can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the complex and ocean while sitting on your balcony or enjoy the sounds of the waves flowing into shore as you lay in your bed in the mornings. Take a walk on the beach or watch the surfers play in the waves near this complex. Enjoy watching the sunsets disappear into the horizon! Amazing memories! So peaceful! Velas Vallarta was the chosen site of a couple beautiful outdoor weddings. There was also a Mexican Fiesta and a couple large conferences being held during my stay. What a great place to share "PARADISE"! All the staff were amazing! Many of the staff have worked at this resort for the past 20- 40+ years. They are very polite and hard workers who care about their guests and responsibilities. They are like family and always aim to help. The room was always spotless with excellent daily cleaning by a friendly, competent employee. We took a short taxi drive to the Liverpool Mall which offered many options for shopping, restaurants, and a cinema. We also made a few trips to the Mallecon area of downtown Puerto Vallarta for shopping and to enjoy the culture and friendliness of the people in the City. This complex is located within a short ride to and from the airport. I highly recommend VELAS VALLARTA la MARINA in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for all ages, all conferences, all special events! I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did! This Resort was definitely worth the value for the time and pleasure while we were at this complex. I am sure that you will be pleased with your holiday at this complex.

  A nice quick get away hotel to visit

  We had a nice three days visit. We booked a studio suite and that was not a good choice for the experience we wanted. We appreciate that Juan Carlos (manager) allowed us to move to a 1 bedroom suite on the 8th floor and it was perfect for a couple for some romantic quiet time. Amazing view. This changed the quick trip for us for sure. The food was great and vegan options appreciated. Staff so friendly all over. Room service breakfast was great. Housekeeping does a good job. Resort is aged but they are doing work. Like many all inclusive resorts the drinks were hit or miss but I loved the margaritas at the front lobby closet bar. If you are looking for a lounge or sport bar that’s nice to visit in day or evenings dressed after dinner you won’t find it here. They have a later show in the lobby but that’s it. Family place and perhaps that is why but I recommend the Velas adds a bar/lounge and sports bar while they are doing remodeling. If that happens, we will return! We were stuck in our room to watch ML BB then just go to bed- boring. This will be the main reason we will not return but if you are room people with kids along this won’t bother you probably. Glad we gave it try. Thank you to all of the friendly staff for making quick break away pleasurable.

  September vacation at Velas

  Great week at Velas 1 bedroom unit. We enjoyed the clean facilities and pool. The day and evening activities were fun too. We hope to return.

  Friendly staff with great service!

  The staff are all awesome and lots of activities around the pool. Poolside food has great variety and a lot of times is more enjoyable than at the two restaurants on site. Have been going here for over 20 years and just a nice relaxing vacation! Highly recommend if you have never stayed here.
