Nov 01, 2025Excellent Vacation at Ventus Elcid
We had a wonderful, relaxing, worry free time at the Ventus Elcid. David and Jesus, our assigned concierges treated us like family and took care of everything for us from dinner reservations, to direct messaging us the daily activities and shows. They truly cared that everything was perfect for us and that we were doing well. Any request was answered promptly. Our time at the resort was wonderful due to their service.

El Cid; our home away from home!
Always enjoy our visit to Ventus at Marina El Cid! Everything from the accommodations to the food to the activities to the service. Butlers Noah, Luis, and Hugo were took excellent care of us. Enjoyed visiting good friends we have made over the years! Looking forward to coming back to our home away from home!

Oct 29, 2025Leaves a lot to be Desired
Pros - Butlers Orlando and Saul were excellent. Made sure that we had dinner reservations. Check on us daily and made our stay as pleasant as they could. Loved the lobby bar in the Ventus Ha- different vibe than all the other bars and served strong unique drinks. Lunch at Aakat was the best food we had during our stay. The two adult only rooftop pools at Ventus Ha were great Cons - However, overall the food was not that good. Just did not taste good, lukewarm, and a lot times inedible. The sewage smell was terrible; it permeates the air. It is not what you want to smell when lay out by the pool or on the balcony of your room. This is our second time staying with these group of resorts. I prefer the Ventus Ha over the Ventus. Yes, we had an ocean view at the Ventus but overall the experience was much better at the Ventus Ha. Lastly, even with repellent I was bitten over 50 times by mosquitos; it just did not make for an enjoyable stay.

Amazing Reset that we needed
We went in cautiously- not much of a beach, very well priced for a one bedroom? Kids were free? Cliff jumping and a waterslide? Ok, let’s try it before we go to the fancy resort for the next few days. Man do we wish we had ended with this resort instead of started with it! From the start we were SO well taken care of, even being offered dinner reservations before we arrived. Every. Single. Employee. Was incredible. It was wild. We have been to a million resorts that said you had butler service (not to mention the Royalton Diamond club we went to immediately after this, which I suppose technically did but not anything like this) but this is the first resort where every single one of our butlers Orlando, David and Jesus were in constant contact ensuring everything was perfect. Small touches like litres of whole milk in the fridge for our 2 year old to massive touches like a full balloon birthday display and cake for our 5 year old were incredible. We rarely return to a property because we love trying new places but we are already talking about coming back. The food was killer, room was huge. The staff at Akat literally knew us by name and greeted our kids. Oh and did I mention I could get an Aperol spritz at any bar? The beach was a nonissue for us and I enjoyed our ocean view- the sargassum sometimes smells in low tide but we’ve spent time in Belize and this isn’t the resort, it’s just nature and I find if I know what it is it doesn’t bother me. It’s also only an issue if you’re close to the beach. This was only noticable one day of our vacation and like I said it was a nonissue for us. Get in the pool, have a cocktail, be pampered and tell me that worries you. 😜 Platinum club, in our experience, was SO worth it. We will be back!

Exceptional Service and an Unforgettable Birthday Surprise!
My family had an exceptional stay thanks to our amazing butlers: Luis, Hugo, Alan, and Noah. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, always checking in to ensure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel truly pampered. The highlight was my son’s birthday, they decorated our room and surprised him with a cake while we were out. The joy on his face was absolutely priceless. Their kindness turned a great trip into an unforgettable experience!
