Wonderful vacation at El Cid Ventus
We loved our stay at El Cid Ventus. We have been to mexico over thirty times and have stayed at many different resorts. This resort was immaculate, and the service was exceptional. The food was delicious..our favorite restaurants were Kobo, the French restaurant and we loved Alhambra for night time buffet. We went to the Italian restaurant for breakfast buffet. They have an omelet station and they make fresh Belgian waffles and fresh pressed juices. We have been to other all inclusive resorts and the food is not great or high quality. The food was good and great quality. The desserts were very good. We are Platinum level so we had butler and concierge services. Our Butler's were Omar, Orlando and Are. Anything that we needed they took care of. I used the valet laundry services and Orlando picked it up and delivered it back to our room. Omar and Are helped with dinner reservations and kept us abreast of the activities. My daughter needed medication and the concierge Ana in the Platinum club called several pharmacies to get us the medicine. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. We loved there are air conditioner was very quiet. We didn't hear it cycling on or off.It was the quietest air conditioner that we've ever had in a hotel room. We had the 2 bedroom suite it was enormous. The level of service was exceptional. We will definitely be going back there soon.

Second stay- wonderful
We stayed in this resort for the first time right before covid hit. That was 5 years ago. We decided to go back again when it was just my husband and myself. Was a different experience travelling without our usual travel partners. We really enjoyed our stay. We went with the platinum package again and I think it is worth it. We had a beautiful room with an awesome ocean view. We spent lots of time on the balcony watching the ocean and cruise ships going by. The resort has not changed much and really didn't need to. They did try to improve the beach by putting in some berms to slow the seaweed coming in and also hauled in lots of nice sand so there is more of a beach. If you look at the beach first when booking a holiday then this is not the one for you if you are beach and ocean people. We spent pretty much all our time in the pools, especially the infinity pool. There was a adults only infinity pool but it was difficult to get a spot due to the construction going on, they were putting down new decking on one half of the lounge chair area. It will be nice when finished. We had a platinum beach area with loungers and umbrella but honestly didn't use it. We had 2 butlers that were great! They arranged for chocolate covered strawberries and wine for our anniversary. Gave info on anything we asked. Booked a taxi to go to Puerto Morales one day. They checked in every morning to see if we needed anything. They booked a couple of restaurants for us as well. We only ended up going to the seafood restaurant which wasn't the best, everything seemed cold but so was the restaurant! We enjoyed the market place buffet the best. It was our main place to eat. The little ice-cream shop with treats and deserts was great. Only gluten free item was a cookie and muffin. Last visit had more options for sure, they could greatly improve their selection. Overall we really enjoyed our week, very relaxing time just before Christmas! We will be back again! Ps the giftshops were outrageous price compared to last visit. A $5 item was now a $20 - 25 USD price. We took a taxi to Puerto Morales for the day and did our souvenir shopping there. Taxi was $12 usd one way, the driver gave me his card so we could call him when we were ready to go back. Awesome service. The premium check in lounge was really nice to grab a drink, a snack or just to get help from the staff.

Nice retreat for the whole family
We came back after 8 years and saw lots of improvement. There were quite some activities suitable for both kids and adults for you to choose from. Their restaurants for fine dining are superb. Swimming pools with slides and diving board are awesome. Beaches might not be as nice as others though. One new thing we tried this time was the personal butler service. Butler Ricardo and Freddy are the best. Anything you need during your stay including restaurant reservation, transportation, drinks and snacks, just give them a call or text them, they will take care for you. We want to be back soon.

Memorable Family Vacation - Welcoming Staff
We spent 1 week here with another family. We have four boys all between the ages of seven and nine. One of the first things that I noted in particular were our two butlers Ricardo and Freddy, who were so kind and attentive to the boys. They acknowledged them for the very beginning, saying hello and without being asked, provided extra things in our room like potato chips and their favorite sparkling waters. Well, it can be tough eating in restaurants for every meal with four young boys, Henrry, who worked in the French restaurant and the Dolores market was incredibly kind to us all. Generally, there was always some thing that the boys could eat, sometimes being adventurous at the hibachi restaurant and always had familiar hamburgers, buttered noodles, and french fries to fall back on. The rooms were well set up for families of 3 to 4 and Lucy are Cleaning Lady did a great job of timing things so we didn’t feel rushed or come back to an uncleaned room. Overall, this was an incredibly enjoyable vacation at an all-inclusive resort with several different areas, pools, and activities for the adults and the kids. We were not able to take advantage of the kids club as we had hoped to be able to do some spa services. But I have heard great things about that. Thank you again to Ricardo, Freddy and Henrry for being such wonderful hosts to our families

Great food
Beautiful resort, great service from our butler Indira, she went the extra mile to make sure we had à la carte dinners every night.
