Absolutely Unforgettable Experience at Villa De Palmar!
Absolutely Unforgettable Experience at Villa De Palmar! From the moment we arrived at Villa De Palmar, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality. The front door staff greeted us with glasses of Prosecco for the adults and refreshing fresh fruit drinks for the kids—a perfect start to our vacation. Check-in was seamless with no wait, and we were given our rooms immediately. Before heading to our room, we decided to try lunch at Zama Restaurant, and it set the tone for the rest of our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, and the entire staff made us feel welcome without ever rushing us. We enjoyed a leisurely hour-long lunch at our own pace, truly relaxing into vacation mode. Our room was a wonderful surprise—clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly spacious. The sea view from our balcony, complete with a hammock, was the cherry on top. Every balcony at the hotel offered this same relaxing touch, which we loved. During our stay, we had the chance to try every restaurant on the property, including the Caprichos seafood night, and were never disappointed. Each dining experience was excellent, and again, the staff consistently gave us the space to enjoy our meals without feeling rushed. Our favorite dining experience was at Davino Restaurant, where Sergio treated us like royalty. His service was outstanding and made our dinner extra special. A few staff members stood out and truly made our stay unforgettable: • Eduardo and Oscar greeted us with smiles every morning at the breakfast buffet. Their attentiveness and warmth made each morning a joy. On our last day, they surprised us with a beautiful plate of fruit that said, “Have a nice trip,” and Oscar’s daughter even made bracelets for my two daughters. Thank you, Eduardo and Oscar—you made our mornings so special. • At the pool, we met Jorge, the pool butler. From day one, he took amazing care of us and quickly became a highlight of our trip. He was attentive, kind, and clearly dedicated to his work. We also saw him assisting his teammate Kevin, showing what a team player he is. Jorge is a true asset to the resort. • Our poolside service was always top-notch. Rigoberto, Gabriel, Jorge, Daniel, and Axusana at the Tiki Bar kept our drinks full and our spirits high—all with a smile. • The resort activities were fun and energetic thanks to Hernesto and Arielie, who kept the energy up with pool aerobics, volleyball, Zumba, and even a kids’ piñata at the beach. They brought such great energy every day! • A huge thank-you to Andrea Coutino, who kept our room spotless. She refreshed our room daily and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. We truly appreciated her hard work and attention to detail. Overall, this resort exceeded all of our expectations. The team here made our vacation truly memorable, and we have nothing but gratitude for the kindness and care we received. We are already planning to come back next year—partly because of the beautiful resort, but mostly to see the amazing staff who made our experience so special. Thank you, Villa De Palmar, for an unforgettable trip!

Great butlers
Our stay at The Villa del Palmar Hotel was truly exceptional. From start to finish, everything was spotless—very clean and beautifully maintained. The staff overall were incredibly kind and professional, but we have to give special thanks to our butlers, Raphael and Arad. They were outstanding—attentive, responsive, and available 24/7. Their level of service elevated our entire experience. One of the highlights of our trip was our final night, when an in-room chef prepared an unforgettable meal in our three-bedroom oceanfront suite. The ambiance, the service, and especially the steaks were all absolutely amazing. It was a perfect end to a perfect stay. We highly recommend The Villa del Palmar Hotel and would return in a heartbeat.

Good and Bad...would not book again. 2 out 5
First, I'll start with the positive - the staff. In particular Enrique Tabasco. He provided excellent service every day by the activities pool. Very attentive to the needs of the guests in his section and very friendly to interact with. He would ensure the guests had buckets of water bottles on ice, drinks coming throughout the day and just a hard worker. Rooms were always kept clean by the housekeeping staff, and the mini bar was restocked daily. No concerns in the area of cleanliness. For the negative - it is known that you don't drink the water in Mexico, fair. But what about to shower or wash your hands? The first time we turned on the taps there was a smell of Sulphur. We called maintenance and they said it was normal. What was a positive experience turned negative. The shower water smelled horrible, and you did not feel clean afterwards. There was no explanation given for the smell. We could barely shower at the hotel. I ended up using wet ones to wipe down my son and the rest of us. Not a pleasant experience with no help from the resort staff. When you first check in you are given a bracelet to wear for your entire stay at Villa Del Palmar. This bracelet also acts as your room key. On three occasions our room key was deactivated, and we had to go back to the lobby to reset. After long days out on excursions the last thing you want is to go to your room only to have to go back down to the lobby. This was a big downer not being able to get into your room. All the front desk could say was "sometimes these get deactivated".....3 times? After check-in you speak with the assigned concierge. The lady that we spoke with was incredibly pushy trying to book us to go sit through a 2-hour presentation next door for time shares. Repeatedly we told her no thank you. We saw her again during our stay and again she tried to push us. It would be more helpful if the concierge could assist you with planning activities for your stay. The travel agency was horrible. Travel bookings - the travel agency on the resort also lacks in service. They are not knowledgeable about the activities in the area and take no initiative to help you plan excursions. We asked several questions, and he could not really provide us with answers or alternatives. It was really disappointing. The food was okay. I would agree with other reviews there is not much in way of selection. Although there are five restaurants to choose from the menus are all very similar. It would be nice if the guests staying at Villa Del Palmar had access to the restaurants at the next-door sister resort Garza Blanca. Those guests can go between both resorts, but it is restricted for the guests at Villa Del Palmar. Do NOT order room service, it takes more than an hour to get anything from room service. Super slow! Activities during the day I found were lacking. For the activities that they had the staff leading them were great. Edgar especially is a friendly face and great with the guests. We really enjoyed speaking with Edgar. The night life at the resort is lacking. There are no shows in the evening specifically at the resort, you have to go next door to Garza Blanca for the evening shows. This is misrepresented on the resort website as it leads you to believe there is evening shows at Caprichos...this is not the case. Day time and evenings are very quiet, be prepared to bring your own activities - pool floaties, frisbee, etc. to keep busy in the pool. Maybe even a speaker to play some music. There really is no emphasis on the activities. Overall, I would rate this resort 2 out of 5. I would not book another stay at Villa Del Palmar.

Fantastic Resort
This Resort deserves a 5 Star Rating. I had a fabulous time celebrating a milestone birthday, with my family. The poolside attendant Angel, always made sure our lounge chairs were set up for the day. I was also pleasantly surprised that he remembered it was my Birthday and put up a banner, with balloons by our lounge chairs. This was so thoughtful, and made me very happy. The activities coordinator at the pool had water aerobics set up, which was so much fun. The Severs at morning breakfast Efrain & Alexis were always helpful. The Mexican Coffee was fantastic, and let’s not forget the Green Juice. Ralphael, always made sure our rooms were to our satisfaction. The Customer Service was 5 star. All the employees took great pride in their jobs and treated everyone well. It was a birthday, I will never forget and will be back soon.

Villa Del Palmar experience
We stayed there for 5 nights and 6 days. We booked 4 rooms for a total of 9 family members. I chose this hotel in Cancun because I had a great experience at Villa del Palmar in Los Cabos. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the service at this location. Here's a breakdown of the issues we encountered: 1. Limited Lunch Options: During lunch, only one restaurant (Zamá) was open, and the menu was very limited. The food quality was poor and not up to expectations. 2. No Buffet for Dinner or Lunch: Unlike Los Cabos, which offered a buffet during dinner, this hotel had no buffet at all. Only three restaurants were open at dinner time, and the food was again disappointing. This was one of the most frustrating aspects of our stay. 3. Poorly Timed Activities: They claimed to have many activities, and we planned to join in the night activities. They started at 8:00 or 9:00 PM, which was during dinner hours. There were no restaurants with the activity areas, so we missed all night show due to overlapping with dinner time. 4. Disappointing Poolside Service: This was perhaps the most frustrating part of our stay. In Los Cabos, there were plenty of waiters taking orders around the pool. Here, it was hard to find any service. At one point, all our family members were in the pool and I tried to place an order. The waiter asked which pool chair I was sitting in. When I told him, he said I had to place my order with a different waiter assigned to that zone. I was very frustrated. I walked to the bar to order 4 drinks, but the bartender told me I could only order 2 at a time and the other family members had to come themselves. I spoke with the pool manager, who simply told me it was their policy that guests must order from the waiter assigned to their pool zone. However, there were no clear signs or communication about which zones were which, and the manager offered no explanation or support beyond repeating the policy. We paid nearly $16,000 USD (over a quarter million Mexican pesos) for 4 rooms, and the service did not match the price. The food variety was very limited, and the overall quality was poor. I will definitely not return to this hotel.
