Great stay, a little on the pricier side
At first, we were put in a room on the lower level. I called the front desk and mentioned to them that when I was booking, the picture provided did not match the view we had. They quickly fixed that and put us in a higher level. Although it didn’t specify that the building RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BEACH was the “premium balcony”, the front desk made sure our view got close to that. It was a great experience from our arrival, during our stay with our room attendant Myrna, til our discharge. The resort fee was also worth it because it included rental like beach chairs & boogie board. Will stay at Marriott again when we come back to Hawaii All the staff were friendly to both me and my husband and my little son Just keep in mind, self parking is $60 per day & their parking tends to fill up at night so there’s not enough for the guests.

Quality Room, but with a Steep Price Tag
If you can look beyond how expensive parts of your stay will be, the Waikiki Beach Marriott is a solid Hotel nestled on the edge of Waikiki promenade. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend the property to anyone looking to explore the Waikiki area and beyond. Pro’s: - Great location, everything Waikiki has to offer is within walking distance. Easy to get to the beach and to Diamond Head, not too expensive in a Uber to Pearl Harbour and the International Airport - View from the 1 bedroom junior suite (ocean facing) was fantastic. Many of the rooms on a high floor have awesome views - Modern, clean, and well appointed room. The room was thoughtfully designed and spacious - Conveniently, Starbucks, shops, and several restaurants are all located on site. Con’s: - Really expensive: A breakfast buffet will set you back $48, or $31 for a continental breakfast per adult (plus tax). This feels high given the nightly resort fee is $58.98, this fee doesn’t seem to give you a great deal. Certainly nothing $58 worth unless you take fitness classes every day. Far better value available off the property for breakfast, check out ‘Hawaiian Aroma Cafe’ around the corner. It has a great selection at a more reasonable price - Parking your car will set back $55 plus tax too. Pro tip, some car rental companies nearby include free overnight parking - The staff are not overly friendly. Check in is fine, but the encounters outside of check in were not in line with expectations given the cost of staying on the property - Limited perks available for Bonvoy members (who booked direct), no lounge etc. For breakfast, only a complimentary continental buffet offered.

Disappointed
Disappointing Stay at Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort I booked the Marriott Beach Resort on Waikiki Beach last minute, expecting the high standards typically associated with the Marriott brand. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. The room felt heavily used and worn, with a subtle sense of uncleanliness, even if nothing was visibly dirty. Our balcony was particularly concerning—it was crumbling, and we could see exposed rebar above us, which raised serious safety concerns. Security also felt lax. There were no doors separating the street from the lobby and other areas, making it accessible to anyone at night. We didn’t see any staff near the elevator area, which made us uneasy. While elevator access requires a key card, it didn’t instill full confidence in the overall safety of the premises. While the location is undeniably convenient and scenic, I didn’t feel that the quality or security matched what I expect from a Marriott. Regrettably, I would likely choose a different hotel for any future stays in Waikiki.

Nice long weekend getaway!
Read a lot of mixed reviews, but opted to book the Marriott/Waikiki Beach. First, room was decent with a nice balcony and great views of the water. Bed/pillows were excellent. Room looked recently remodeled and clean. The walls are pretty thin - we could hear our neighbors. Great location and walking distance to everything. The property is not technically on the beach, but the public beach access is awesome, steps away and easy to navigate. Not too crowded and just amazing sand and water. The staff at this hotel should get 5 star rating - especially the ladies that run the grill managing breakfast service. Really solid buffet and the staff is happy, engaging and just really great customer service. The resort fee is high and the overall price is expensive, but we had a good stay (floor 23) Also, shout out to the cleaning ladies…they were always really funny, nice and big smiles.
