Busy Hotel
A large hotel near the beach. Check-in lines can be long and your room probably won't be ready until the advertised time. The staff are friendly, rooms are clean, and it's nice to be at the end of the strip. An ABC store and a Starbucks in the lobby are very convenient.

Perfect!
I don’t typically like or stay at big resort hotels … this Marriott was great! Great location really nice, clean room and fabulous facilities, gym, pools, etc. Great viewing for Friday fireworks! And just a short walk to a really nice beach! 🏖️

Ick!
A Hawaiian vacation should make you feel relaxed and refreshed. That starts with where you stay in my opinion. Since Hawaii is not cheap, I really recommend doing your homework when deciding on a place to stay. When it comes to this resort, I say keep looking. I haven’t written a negative review in a while, but I felt so strongly about this experience, that I didn’t want others to make the same mistake. I’ve never seen a dirtier lobby. The open air lobby tiled floors look like they’ve not been cleaned in months. Spots and stains are everywhere. It was really crazy. A good scrubbing every night should be done! It’s clearly not. Our towels never once smelled fresh. The mattress felt worn out, and on top of all of that, the resort is massive! There are two towers of over 20 floors each. That means if long waits for elevators and tons of people are your thing, you might like that aspect. Although apparently “recently” renovated, it gave a less than fresh impression. It was rough around the edges to put it mildly. The balconies appear to have chunks missing as you look up at them from the pool. I guess they’re currently being worked on, but yikes! The hallways just give an old hotel feeling. The pools are average. The access to the beach is across the street, and the hotel restaurant for breakfast is $50 for a very average buffet. There are so many better options for close to the same price and much nicer!

Terrible Front Desk Staff- Yuko. Worst Hospitality ever received by the Staff.
Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of awful, and I would strongly caution families and loyal Marriott guests before booking here. From the moment we checked in, we were made to feel unwelcome by the front desk staff — specifically Yuko. Because we had booked our stay on an employer discount rate (my brother is a Marriott hotel owner), she made repeated comments about our discounted rate, treating us like second-class citizens rather than valued guests. We tried to let it go, but things only went downhill. On the day of checkout, none of our keys — mobile or physical — worked to access our room. With a flight leaving in less than two hours and a 16-month-old toddler in tow, I went to the front desk for help. When asked for ID, I explained I didn’t have it physically on me but could provide photos of my passport and license. She refused and told me to wait by the elevators for someone to open the door. I waited nearly 20 minutes, but no one ever came. When I returned, stressed and desperate, she looked at me and said: “You’re here on a discounted rate, so you’re not a priority. We’re dealing with other emergencies right now.” I was absolutely stunned. Because of her dismissive attitude and refusal to help with urgency, we were unable to access our room in time and missed our flight. Anyone who has traveled with a toddler knows how stressful flying can already be — this turned it into a nightmare. I am a Marriott Gold status member, and my family owns Marriott properties, so I know firsthand how guests should be treated. Never have I seen such unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for customer service, especially from a hotel that markets itself as a luxury resort. This experience left an incredibly bitter ending to our family vacation. Guests should never be treated differently because of their booking rate — loyalty members and families deserve respect, not humiliation. I cannot in good conscience recommend this property to anyone. Until Marriott addresses this kind of behavior from its staff, I would suggest staying elsewhere in Waikiki.

Great hotel just got better
I am a huge fan of this hotel. Recent renovations to the lobby and now rooms have made it even better. Main lobby has added a huge television area so guests can watch sporting events together and man with college football and the NFL on that place is packed. Rooms have received refreshing upgrades with modern decor and larger televisions. Some heavy construction going on now but minimal disruption to guests other than some unsightly construction material. Phenomenal customer service who always go out of their way to treat every customer great. A must stay if you are coming to Waikiki
