  Needs a lot of maintenance to resemble the hotel that is advertised

  This "resort" is not on the beach and is in great need of maintenance. We were unable to check in as their computer was not connecting and the problem continued all evening. The rooms did not have keys that worked and rooms could not be securely locked There was no hot water and no remotes for AC or TV. No blankets or quilts and AC stuck on 17 degrees meant climbing on a table to switch the AC off at the wall. The curtain rod fell on my head when I attempted to draw the curtains. Fridge was not working. I did not feel safe. On the plus side the young lady in charge was wonderful, very friendly and very embarrassed. We found alternative accommodation.

  Do not stay here if you are expecting any type of resort with normal features i.e restaurant bar etc.

  Do not stay here. Absolutely not at all what is advertised. Rooms do not have what is advertised or stated, should be written as a SELF CATERING STAY not resort. Needs a proper refurbishment inside and also around the staircases (hazard) as they are also weak and worn down. Restaurant closed for entirety of stay (5 nights), if you want food you are told to go and get it a 10/15 minute walk next to all of the other resorts and air bnbs. Or they can order in which also takes more than a hour and a half. Room was meant to have a cooking facility which was advised to use, there was not one and when asked and told one would be given, it was not. Nothing about the restaurant and bar being closed to guests was stated on room advertisement via agoda or online and was told on the way to check in and at check in and then daily "sorry no the restaurant or bar isn't available" or "the chef has left early" considering there are guests and it is a resort not self contained apartment. Service completely slow, rarely any actual customer service provided to guests. Rooms were not stocked up daily with the bare minimum - toiletries or cleaning. Water wasn't working on multiple occasions taps and shower, had to go report and then was working. Bare in mind they take non refundable payments, however this is for a service and accommodation which does not match the reality of what you are told or shown will be what you are booking. Also tried to charge extra than what was told for a later check out due to miscommunication which during the time the communication and service provided by staff there was minimal and also changed dependant on who you spoke to. Enquiries and waiting for assistance or things needed took extra long and were passed around across staff as the response was either unknown or different to what another person had stated. They did however have breakfast there yet that was the only thing. Trying to resolve any of this during - minimal. Trying to after - minimal response or accountability. Honestly not at all what was expected and not worth spending the money to stay, book one of the other resorts around that area or at a bnb or airbnb you'll have better value and experience will be saved.

  Wailoaloa New Town Motel

  Disappointing. As my flight was due to arrive into Nadi about 19.00 I decided in the area for a couple of days rather than spend an hour so getting to the Coral Coast. A good idea in theory, especially as the flight was late and disembarkation even later (19.45 or so), My mistake but it was farther from the airport by taxi than I’d expected. Not my mistake is the use of the words “beach” and “resort”. The staff were as pleasant as most places in Fiji but the absence of coathangers or any TV (“in maintenance”) illustrate the state of the place. And despite the road distance the aircraft noise was deafening. A$272 for two nights had seemed reasonable in Australia. In practice I felt I’d paid twice what it was worth.

  This places is in dire need for a makeover.

  I booked for 7 days room was ok.The tv didnt worked despite me walking to the reception many times to ask to get the tv going.As breakfast was included on the sunday there was zero service as staff were sleeping.We were told to make our own cofees n teas n they will bring breakfast to our rooms.Many of us were very diappointed with the services.TThe sheets and curtains need a wash and on my day of leaving there was zero hot water.Only positive the staff are nice.

  Warning: Exercise Caution with Other Guests

  The accommodation has a great location and lively atmosphere. However, during my stay, I encountered a British man known as Bobby Mason who was staying at the resort. This individual falsely obtained money from me under the promise of repayment, which never occurred. After speaking to others, it seems he may have been involved in similar incidents targeting tourists. He claims to be connected to a local boxing promotion. While the accommodation itself is affordable and enjoyable, I strongly recommend other guests be cautious about money or getting involved in financial discussions with other guests. It would be great if the management could monitor such activities more closely to protect future travellers.
