just spent six days at this resort we were mislead in believing 8 restaurants would be available to us due to restorations at sister hotels only three were available the food at these restaurants was dissapointing at best(dinner).the beach is very small and very rocky.if you stay in the adults only section you must cross a very busy street to get to beach and all dining areas crossing guard would be a good idea .adult pool very nice little to no sun after four towels only available across street.the saving grace is the staff is very attentative polite and helpfull.shout out to akeal ,loreal,ether,devon

Small Boutique type hotel, mostly extremely friendly staff, great range of activities and music entertainment. Bar with healthy drink options, amazing Spa. Seascape and Kyma ( Organic & Co) restaurants were nice, Dosa restaurant was disappointing. Small beach but well managed so always had access to loungers. Very Small family pool. Partially Rocky Beach but very much able to swim and snorkel. Rooms dated, maintenance was just ok. Can't do long walks.

Amazing customer service by everyone who I saw at the hotel, they really are the nicest group of people. Hotel is in a great spot, food and drink very nice. It really is the customer service that sets this place apart.

Whatever you do, do not book Waves Hotel in Barbados. They do not post accurate information on the Marriott website. I recently booked a trip to celebrate a special family occasion and two weeks before the trip I received an email from Waves saying half the resort was closed for "beautification". No way a renovation like this popped up two weeks before my trip. I specifically booked ocean front and the email I received said the ocean front rooms were unavailable and the beach was closed. I had over $3000 in non-refundable first class airfare and Marriott won't do anything about this. Absolutely shameful.

Disgraceful service
Cancelled holiday one week before planned arrival, apparently going through refurbishment. Seems surprising an entire renovation wasn’t known more than a week in advance.. complete lack of care for customer service and how this last minute cancellations and ruin special holiday plans.
