My husband and I stayed and it was our first time to the Dominican. We loved everything from the moment we were greeted until we left. The grounds, pools, room, food, staff were all top notch! We will be back.

Great hotel!
We loved our stay at Zel! The property is stunning, and every design detail feels intentional and well thought out. Service was excellent throughout our visit—special thanks to our concierge, Yunior, for taking such great care of us. The spa was a highlight; we really enjoyed using the hydrotherapy circuit before our massages. The only area that could use improvement was the food, which was somewhat inconsistent. At both Nokyo and Volcan, one of our two dinner dishes wasn’t served hot, and seasoning varied—some meals were overly salted. That said, we had amazing shrimp at the Neguri Beach Club, excellent sushi at Nokyo, and loved the Parda buffet, especially the breakfast options. The hotel sits within a gated complex shared with four other Meliá properties, and the fancy golf carts made it easy (and fun) to move between them. We visited Paradisus and Meliá Caribe for nighttime entertainment—live music, dancing, and shows. We also felt very safe thanks to visible security around the resorts and on the beach. When booking, I assumed the hotel was directly on the beach, but it’s actually about a 12-minute walk away. Fortunately, the golf carts run frequently, and we never waited more than five minutes for one, so it wasn’t an issue. (You can request a ride through security if a cart is not waiting already.) One small tip: the shower controls are a bit confusing, so I recommend asking your bellhop to give you a quick demo during check-in. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel!

The resort is absolutely beautiful and well-kept. From the moment we stepped inside, Romina welcomed us with open arms, making us feel right at home, even better than we had hoped. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the doors in the resort are quite noisy, especially since they’re made of wood without any cushioning. You’ll hear them slamming next to you at night. I’ve mentioned this to the managers, but nothing has been done yet.

I would certainly come back to this piece of Paradise
The welcoming and service throughout our stay was superb. Juan Bautista, our welcome supervisor did an excellent job making sure that our stay was a pleasant one and exceeding our expectations. Food and restaurants were also far better than we expected. The art crafting activities were also great tokens and relaxing experience which turned into great souvenirs to keep from out unforgettable weekend. The private beach club is also very nice and appetizers are outstanding. Highly recommnded place to stay if you look for a quiet, relaxing, beatifully appointed accomodation with great service at a reasonable price.
