Do not set foot in this place
By far the worst hotel we have stayed in, we booked 3 nights due to our favourite hotel not having a room on the Friday night, straight away we knew we had made a dreadful mistake, the carpet at reception had seen better days, we then went to our room 304, as we opened the door, the smell was not pleasant, there was a random fridge on the floor causing a hazard, the carpet was filthy, there were marks all over the walls, electrical socket exposed wires and then there was the toilet waste pipe which at some point had had a leak and the residue was still visible, switching on the air con made us both feel ill, the whole room was a health hazard, the mattress was straw like, but on a plus side the bedding was clean , my husband went to check if our favourite hotel had had any cancellations but it hadn't, so we stayed overnight, went to check out the next morning, reception said you are leaving of your own accord, I said no we are leaving due to the room being a health hazard, he then offered us a better room!, we declined, wrote off a few hundred euro and left, awful awful place, I have a mind to report it to Dutch tourist board

DO NOT BOOK!!
Just arrived, room like a prison cell, no windows, dated and grubby, asked for an upgrade. receptionist said he couldn’t move the booking! Thankfully we’re only stuck in this hovel for 2 nights. Nothing like the photos advertised, DO NOT BOOK!!!!

Worst stay in Amsterdam I’ve had . Rooms we had looked like prison cells with no windows and air con didn’t work I wouldn’t stay unless you was getting a room with a window. People shouldn’t be aloud to sleep in there lol Good for location that’s about it.

Ten out of Ten **********
We are still currently staying here as we write our review. 31/5 - 2/6. To be honest, I’m not sure why people are moaning. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect!! One of the best places, 5 minute walk to Central station, 5 minute walk to anywhere really. A canal right outside the front door, bars/restaurants either side (noise levels are unbelievably low during the night). The rooms are so ideal for what you need. We booked a basic bedroom for the two of us, beds are super comfy and fresh linen as well as towels. Hand soaps/body wash available in the bathroom too. Don’t get me wrong, a little dusty on skirting board and corners but I am a cleaner by trade so I notice these things immediately anywhere I go but honestly it’s not the end of the world - who doesn’t have a bit of dust on their skirting boards. The mini fridge kept our water super cold for when we woke up in the night. The hotel itself was quiet, no banging door or loud hustle around in the night - stayed in a different hotel here a few years ago and it was so noisy but this one was a dream! The service, now I have to say was insane. Someone who’s worked in hospitality for a number of years. Working in this type of environment you must have the gift of the gab! When we arrived we were greeted by the loveliest receptionist - he was hilarious. I can’t remember his name, but he was just fab!!! Now we should’ve been here at 11am but our flight got cancelled and we didn’t end up arriving until 4:30pm - we didn’t tell the hotel this but soon as I walked in, I was greeted by my name and made to feel like I was at home and didn’t have the worst start to our trip. He gave us leaflets with all hints, tips and recommendations of all things Amsterdam! We asked if we could change our room that we booked as it was so hot when we arrived and he done this free of charge - we offered to pay but no. Honestly felt like he had been sent from heaven to us in that moment! Would we stay here again? Yes absolutely Have we told everyone about this hotel? Yes 100%! Have we looked at prices for the end of the year? Yes, we will stay before Christmas. Honestly don’t read the horrid stories. These people are clearly just moaning for some money back

Close to central station
Receptionist khaled was amazing.very helpful and friendly. Room is clean and do justice for this price . Have air conditioning and heater. Small but clean bath room . Very near to central station, walkable distance . I will come back again .
